OPEN HEAVEN 15 NOVEMBER 2025 TODAY DEVOTIONAL

TOPIC: DEALING WITH WITCHES AND WIZARDS

MEMORISE:
Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
2 Corinthians 2:11

READ: Hebrews 5:12-14:
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 15 NOVEMBER 2025 TODAY MESSAGE

Over the past two days, I have established that you need the gift of the discerning of spirits to determine the kinds of spirits controlling the people around you. This is very important because for you to be able to deal with witches or wizards, you must first be able to identify them.

Once you recognise witches or wizards around you, your first reaction shouldn’t be to confront them or send them away. A popular saying where I come from goes: “Once God has shown you your enemy, that enemy can no longer kill you.” Once you discover witches or wizards, do not even let them know about your discovery because the moment they know that you have discovered them, they will find alternative ways to attack.

Once the devil knows that a pastor has discovered his agents among a congregation, for instance, he will replace them with new ones, and the pastor must discover the new agents with the help of the Holy Spirit all over again. However, if the pastor keeps quiet about his or her discovery and just takes the right actions as directed by the Holy Spirit to ensure they do not carry out their evil plans, there will be no damage done.

When you notice witches or wizards around you, thank God for the revelation and seek His face to know the exact steps to take to handle them. You must ask God for the grace to be spiritually sensitive at all times so that beyond detecting them, you will also be able to know when they plan to execute their evil plans and what you must do to stop them.

During one of the annual RCCG conventions, I overheard in the spirit realm that one witch was telling another one, “It is time to strike.” In those days, I wasn’t as mature as I am now, so l was always ready to call down fire at any time.

Therefore, when I heard that, I called the witches forward, and one of them said, “I didn’t want to do it; it is the thing within me that was pushing me,” while the other one was weeping. God set them free that day. Thank God I was sensitive to the revelation from the Holy Spirit.

Beloved, you must live a holy life dedicated to constant fasting and prayers so you can stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit and know what to do to disarm and deal with satanic agents.

PRAYER POINT

Father, please help me to remain sensitive to You so that the enemy will not take advantage of me, in Jesus’ name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

Acts 10-11

HYMN 1: ALL HAIL THE POWER OF JESUS’ NAME

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 15 NOVEMBER 2025 COMMENTARY

MEMORISE: 2 Corinthians 2:11 (KJV)
“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”
This verse is the foundational rationale for spiritual discernment. It reveals that Satan’s primary advantage over believers is gained through ignorance. Knowing his strategies and identifying his agents is not a spiritual luxury; it is a fundamental defensive measure to prevent him from gaining any ground in our lives or ministries.

BIBLE READING: Hebrews 5:12-14
This passage distinguishes between spiritual infancy and maturity, linking maturity directly to discernment:

  • v. 12: A rebuke for those who remain in the basics (“milk”) when they should be teaching others.
  • v. 13: The immature are inexperienced in the word of righteousness, lacking practical application.
  • v. 14: The mature, through practice, have their senses trained to discern both good and evil. Spiritual maturity is equated with developed discernment.

Strategic Wisdom: Disarming the Enemy Without Alerting Him

Pastor E.A. Adeboye concludes his powerful series on spiritual discernment by moving from identification to strategy. He reveals that what you do after God shows you an enemy is as important as the revelation itself. This teaching provides advanced, strategic wisdom for dealing with discovered satanic agents, emphasizing silence, sensitivity, and Spirit-led action over public confrontation.

1. The First Reaction: Strategic Silence

The Principle of Covert Intelligence:
The moment of discovery is a critical vulnerability. Daddy Adeboye introduces a crucial strategic principle from his native wisdom: “Once God has shown you your enemy, that enemy can no longer kill you.” However, this advantage is immediately lost if the enemy knows they have been discovered. Public confrontation alerts them to find new, undetected methods of attack.

Preventing Enemy Redeployment:
This teaching provides profound insight for church leadership. If a pastor publicly exposes a discovered agent, the devil simply replaces them with a new, unknown one, forcing the pastor to start the process of discovery over. Silent knowledge, however, allows the leader to neutralize the agent’s plans without triggering a redeployment of enemy forces.

2. The Correct Post-Discovery Procedure

Step 1: Thanksgiving, Not Panic:
The initial response to a disturbing revelation should be worship. Thanking God for the intelligence proves your trust in His sovereignty and confirms that the revelation came from Him and not from a spirit of fear or paranoia.

Step 2: Seek Specific Instructions:
Do not assume you know what to do. The “right actions” are not generic; they are specific to each situation and must be directed by the Holy Spirit. This requires going back to God in prayer to receive a tailored strategy for disarming the threat.

Step 3: Pray for Sustained Sensitivity:
Beyond the initial discovery, you need ongoing revelation. This includes knowing when an attack is imminent and what specific spiritual counter-measure (e.g., targeted prayer, binding, specific scripture declaration) will stop it.

3. A Testimony of Maturity in Progress

From “Calling Down Fire” to Strategic Wisdom:
Daddy Adeboye’s testimony of the RCCG convention shows his own growth. In his less mature days, his default was immediate, public confrontation (“calling down fire”). While it led to deliverance for the individuals, the teaching he now gives suggests a more strategic, silent approach might be the wiser, more mature course to prevent wider collateral damage and enemy redeployment.

The Goal is Freedom, Not Just Exposure:
The outcome in his testimony is key: the witches were not destroyed but set free. This clarifies that the ultimate goal of discernment and spiritual warfare is the liberation of souls from satanic bondage, not the public shaming of individuals.

How to Implement this Strategic Wisdom

1. Master the Discipline of Silence:
When God reveals something sensitive to you, treat it as classified intelligence. Do not share it indiscriminately. Let your first response be to God in prayer, not to people in conversation.

2. Depend on Holy Spirit-Led Counter-Measures:
Your warfare is not carnal but spiritual (2 Corinthians 10:4). The “right action” might be to pray a specific scripture over the person from a distance, to bind the spirit operating through them during your private prayer time, or to simply watch and pray as the Lord directs.

3. Cultivate a Lifestyle that Sharpens Sensitivity:
Daddy Adeboye unequivocally links this high level of operational discernment to a holy life dedicated to fasting and prayer. A fleshly, prayerless life cannot host the sensitivity required for this level of spiritual intelligence and strategic warfare.

Warning: The Arrogance of Premature Confrontation
Rushing to confront a discovered enemy based on human zeal, without specific divine instruction, is spiritual recklessness. It gives the enemy the advantage you just gained, potentially escalating the conflict and causing more damage than if you had remained silent and strategic.

Conclusion: Walking in Victorious Intelligence

Pray this:
“Holy Spirit, I thank You for being my divine Intelligence Officer. Thank You for revealing every hidden strategy of the enemy. I ask now for the wisdom of serpents to match the harmlessness of doves. Guide my responses. Show me the precise, strategic steps to disarm every satanic agent assigned against my life and ministry without alerting them, that Your kingdom may advance and souls may be set free, in Jesus’ name.”

Action Steps:

  • Evaluate Your Responses: Think back to a time you sensed spiritual opposition. Did you confront it publicly or take it to God in strategic prayer? Learn from your past reactions.
  • Deepen Your Commitment to Holiness: Identify one area of compromise in your life and repent. Commit to a regular fast (e.g., one meal a week) dedicated to sharpening your spiritual sensitivity.
  • Study Strategic Warfare in Scripture: Read how Jesus often avoided public confrontations until His “hour had come” (John 7:6, 8) and how He instructed His disciples to be “wise as serpents” (Matthew 10:16).

Remember: In spiritual warfare, discernment is your intelligence briefing, and the Holy Spirit is your commander. Victory is assured not by loud confrontations, but by silent, obedient execution of Heaven’s strategic commands.

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.” (2 Corinthians 10:4). Your greatest weapon is obedient strategy from the Throne Room.
