RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 23 FEBRUARY 2026 MESSAGE TODAY

Over the past few days, I have discussed how God cannot be hindered by opposition, circumstances, or time. I will continue this series today by discussing how He rules in the affairs of men and cannot be hindered by resources.

Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” There is no need that is too great for God, the One who made the earth and its fullness, to meet.

The world’s richest man today only has a fraction of the earth’s resources. Also, the combined wealth of the world’s richest people is only a drop in the ocean compared to the vast riches that God has put on earth.

In Mark 6:35-44, when a multitude gathered before Jesus and the disciples were worried about how to feed them, He asked them to search if they could find some loaves of bread, but all they found was a little boy’s meal. I am sure the disciples must have thought that Jesus would laugh when they brought it to Him, but He took that little meal and multiplied it to feed over 5,000 people.

When you give your little resources to the Lord, He will ensure that you have more than you need.

In 2 Kings 4:42-44, a man brought some foodstuff to Elisha that would have lasted him for a couple of days or weeks. However, Elisha was not alone; he had 100 other men, sons of the prophets, with him.

When he asked his servant to serve the men, the servant wondered how such a small quantity of food would be enough. However, when the word of the Unlimited God came, that little food fed 100 men, and there were leftovers. When the word of the Lord comes upon the little you have, it will be more than enough.

In today’s memory verse, God said that silver and gold belong to Him. Likewise, in today’s Bible reading, He said that the beasts of the field and the cattle upon a thousand hills are His.

God has unlimited resources, and one way to enjoy them is to live a life of thanksgiving. When you appreciate God for everything He has done, He will do much more. It is the will of God that you give thanks in all things (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Beloved, make giving thanks to your heavenly Father your lifestyle. There is no limit to what God can supply when you give Him thanks in all things.

KEY POINT:

God is not limited by resources.

HYMN 18: PRAISE TO THE LORD THE ALMIGHTY

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 23 FEBRUARY 2026 COMMENTARY

MEMORISE: Haggai 2:8
“The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.”
This is a definitive declaration of divine ownership. God is not merely the distributor of wealth; He is its Creator and sole Proprietor. All precious resources are His by right. This means our needs never outstrip His supply, for we are not asking a reluctant benefactor but the Owner Himself, who has pledged Himself to His children. Our lack cannot hinder Him because He holds the deed to every mine and the title to every treasure.

BIBLE READING: Psalm 50:10-15
This passage presents God’s majestic self-sufficiency. He does not need our sacrifices because “every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.” His ownership is absolute. Yet, in His grace, He invites us into a covenant of thanksgiving and trust. The sacrifice He desires is “thanksgiving” and the keeping of our vows. When we call upon Him in our need, He promises to deliver us, and we shall glorify Him. This frames our relationship with the Resourceful God: not as beggars, but as thankful children asking their wealthy Father.

The Unlimited God of Unlimited Resources

Daddy Adeboye continues the series on God’s invincibility by addressing a universal anxiety: resources. Human logic says opposition, circumstances, time, and scarcity are ultimate limiters. But the Almighty is limited by none of these. If He owns everything, then “need” is merely a context for Him to display His provision. The combined wealth of humanity is but “a drop in the ocean” of His holdings. Therefore, no financial, material, or physical need is “too great” for Him.

The Principle of Divine Multiplication

Two biblical examples illustrate how God’s economy works:

  1. The Boy’s Lunch (Mark 6:35-44): The disciples saw insufficiency (“What are these among so many?”). Jesus saw raw material for a miracle. He took the “little” that was willingly given, gave thanks, and broke it. The breaking (surrender) preceded the multiplication. The lesson: “When you give your little resources to the Lord, He will ensure that you have more than you need.”Your small offering in His hands becomes more than enough.
  2. The Man’s Firstfruits (2 Kings 4:42-44): A man brought a modest offering (20 loaves) to the man of God. The servant saw impossibility. But “when the word of the Unlimited God came,” the natural laws of scarcity were suspended. The key was the prophetic word—God’s decree over the resources. The principle: “When the word of the Lord comes upon the little you have, it will be more than enough.” God’s spoken promise activates supernatural supply.

The Key to Access: A Lifestyle of Thanksgiving

The devotional reveals a profound spiritual key to unlocking this unlimited provision: “one way to enjoy them is to live a life of thanksgiving.”

  • Thanksgiving Acknowledges Ownership: When we thank God, we are affirming Psalm 24:1 and Haggai 2:8. We are saying, “I know this all came from You.” This correct posture pleases the Owner and opens the channel for more.
  • Thanksgiving is God’s Will: It is “the will of God” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Obedience in thankfulness positions us under the fountain of His blessing.
  • Thanksgiving Triggers Multiplication: As with the loaves, Jesus gave thanks before the miracle. A thankful heart creates the spiritual atmosphere for multiplication. “When you appreciate God for everything He has done, He will do much more.” Gratitude for past provision is faith for future supply.

The Call to a Thankful Lifestyle

The conclusion is a clear command and promise: “make giving thanks to your heavenly Father your lifestyle.” This isn’t occasional gratitude but a constant attitude—a default setting of the heart.

  • The Promise: “There is no limit to what God can supply when you give Him thanks in all things.”The only limit removed is the limit of our own complaining, entitled, or anxious spirit. A thankful spirit is an unlimited receiver because it is perfectly aligned with the heart of the Unlimited Giver.

How to Practice Provision-Attracting Thankfulness

  1. Audit Your “Little”: Present what you have (time, skills, money, possessions) to God in prayer. Say, “Lord, this is Yours. I give it to You. Multiply it for Your purpose.”
  2. Invite His Word Over Your Resources: Don’t just budget; prophesy. Speak God’s word of promise (Philippians 4:19, Psalm 23:1) over your finances and needs. Let His word come upon your “little.”
  3. Implement a Thanksgiving Discipline: Daily, list and verbally thank God for specific things—both big and small. Thank Him for what you have and in advance for what you need.
  4. Thank Him in the Crisis: When faced with lack, choose to thank God for His ownership and past faithfulness first, before you present your request. This is the “sacrifice of praise” (Hebrews 13:15).
  5. View Yourself as a Conduit, Not a Reservoir: Give generously out of your “little,” as the boy and the man did. This act of faith demonstrates you believe the Source is unlimited and will replenish you.

Prayer of Thanksgiving and Release:
“Lord of Hosts, Owner of all silver and gold, I declare that every resource I need belongs to You. Today, I present my life and all I have to You. I thank You for Your past provision, for Your present faithfulness, and for the future supply You have already prepared. Forgive me for anxiety over scarcity. I choose a lifestyle of thanksgiving. I invite Your word to come upon my finances, my pantry, and my abilities. Multiply them for Your glory and for the blessing of others. As I live thankfully, I receive from Your unlimited riches, knowing there is no limit to what You can do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
