RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 27 FEBRUARY 2026 MESSAGE TODAY

God is all-powerful; His power is not seen only in His mighty works but also in how He sometimes mercifully provides the help we need before we even realise we need help.

Years ago, when Redemption City was still more than 95 percent covered with trees and bushes, I went for a walk one night as I usually do. Then, I loved to walk on the footpaths of the bushes to pray so that nobody would disturb me.

That night, l was going about praying and enjoying myself because I was alone with God when He suddenly told me to stop. I stopped, and when I looked at the ground, I realised that something unusual was right across my path. The object looked like a log of wood, and I thought that some people had come into the bush, cut some trees down, and didn’t carry all the logs with them. However, it suddenly looked as if the log of wood was moving. When I looked more closely, I realised it was a huge python.

Immediately the python saw that I had seen it, it raised its head to attack me. Of course, now that had already seen it, I moved back a bit, and as l turned to look towards my right, I saw a big rock.

The rock had already been positioned there by God, and I used it to kill the python. God mercifully provided that big rock in that position even before I went through that path that night. I pray that the Almighty God will supply all the help you need before you even realise you need it, in Jesus name.

Before Samson was attacked by over 1,000 Philistines in Judges 15:14-15, God prepared the jawbone of an ass and placed it in a place where his hand could easily reach it. In Numbers 20:1-11, before the Israelites got to the desert, He had provided the rock from which they would get water.

Beloved, God has already provided the solution to every problem you can ever encounter. He is too merciful to let you get to a stage where there will be no solution to the challenges you face.

If you are currently burdened by a problem, you don’t have to worry; turn to Him and ask Him to open your eyes to see the solution He has already provided. I pray that you will emerge victorious over all obstacles, in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please open my eyes to see the solutions You have provided to every challenge that comes my way, in Jesus’ name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

Deuteronomy 20-22

Open Heavens HYMN 27: WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 27 FEBRUARY 2026 COMMENTARY

MEMORISE: Psalm 147:5
“Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.”
This verse connects God’s limitless power with His infinite understanding. His might is not brute force but is exercised with perfect, omniscient wisdom. He knows not only what we need but whenwe will need it. His understanding of every future contingency allows Him to pre-position help, resources, and solutions along our path long before we arrive at the point of crisis.

BIBLE READING: 1 Chronicles 29:11-12
In this worshipful declaration, David ascribes to God all power, glory, victory, majesty, and ownership of all that is in heaven and earth. Most crucially, he states, “Thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all.” This establishes God’s absolute sovereignty to deploy any resource from His unlimited domain, at any time and place, for the sake of His children. He reigns, therefore He can pre-arrange.

The Mercy of Pre-emptive Provision

Daddy Adeboye highlights a profound aspect of God’s care: His power is often demonstrated through mercy that anticipates need. It is one thing for God to respond when we cry; it is another level of loving sovereignty for Him to place the answer on our path before we even know there is a danger. This testimony is not just about deliverance, but about the pre-positioned deliverer—the rock already placed.

The Testimony: The Rock and the Python

This personal story is a powerful parable of God’s pre-emptive grace.

  • The Unseen Danger: Daddy Adeboye was unaware, peacefully communing with God. The enemy (the python) was hidden, poised to strike.
  • The Divine Interruption: God’s command to “stop” was the first act of mercy. The divine voice halted him at the precise point where forward motion meant disaster.
  • The Revealed Provision: Upon looking, he saw both the danger and, crucially, the provision—the “big rock.” The rock’s placement was not coincidental; it was a strategic, pre-arranged weapon of victory. God didn’t create the rock in the moment; He had ensured it was there in advance.
  • The Lesson: The Almighty does not just give strength in the battle; He often prepares the weapon before the battle is even declared. He sees the python on your path and has already placed a rock within your reach.

Biblical Patterns of Pre-arranged Help

The devotional reinforces this truth with Scripture:

  1. For the Warrior (Samson): God didn’t give Samson supernatural strength to rip a tree from the ground in that moment. He had allowed a donkey to die there previously, leaving its jawbone—a perfect, lightweight club—already on the ground, ready to be picked up. The provision was in the environment.
  2. For the Nation (Israel in the Desert): The water was not created from nothing at the moment of their complaint. It was stored within a rock that God had already brought them to. The resource was embedded in the journey itself.

The Promise: Solutions Pre-Installed for Your Problems

The core message is one of immense comfort and faith: “God has already provided the solution to every problem you can ever encounter.”

  • This speaks to His omniscience (He foresees every challenge).
  • It reveals His mercy (“He is too merciful to let you get to a stage where there will be no solution”).
  • It calls for our perception (“open your eyes to see the solution He has already provided”).

Our anxiety often stems from the belief that we are in a situation with no way out. This truth declares that there is always a prepared way of escape, a pre-positioned resource, a “rock” or a “jawbone” already within the scope of your God-ordained journey.

How to Access Your Pre-Arranged Help

  1. Walk in Communion: The pre-emptive warning (“stop”) came during a walk of prayer. Staying sensitive to God’s voice through prayer and His Word is how He alerts us to hidden dangers and reveals hidden resources.
  2. Believe in the Pre-Existing Solution: Before you pray in panic, declare in faith: “Father, thank You that You saw this challenge from eternity past and have already made provision for it. Open my eyes to see it.”
  3. Survey Your “Path” with Faith: When crisis hits, don’t just look at the problem (the python). By faith, look around for your “rock”—the person, scripture, idea, skill, or unexpected resource God has already placed in your life or environment.
  4. Use What is at Hand: Don’t despise the humble “jawbone.” The solution may seem ordinary or unrelated, but when wielded in faith and obedience to God’s prompting, it becomes a mighty weapon.
  5. Give Thanks for the Mercy: Cultivate a heart of gratitude for God’s pre-emptive care. Thank Him not only for saving you from the python, but for placing the rock there last year.

Prayer to See the Pre-Positioned Answer:
“Great and Almighty God, whose understanding is infinite, I worship You. Thank You for Your merciful, pre-emptive care. I believe that for every challenge I face—the seen and the unseen—You have already provided the solution. Forgive my anxiety that blinds me to Your provision. Right now, I ask in Jesus’ name: Open my spiritual and physical eyes to see the ‘rock’ You have already positioned for my victory. Help me to recognize the resources, people, and strategies You have pre-installed in my life for this moment. I walk in confidence, not in my own foresight, but in Your perfect, pre-arranged grace. I will emerge victorious over every obstacle, for my help was secured before my need arose. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.”
