OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 27 MARCH 2025 MESSAGE
From my little walk with God in the last 51 years that I have been born again, I have observed that God specialises in bringing something out of nothing. When it seems like there’s no way to solve a problem, He makes a way where there is no way, like He did for the Israelites in Exodus 14:21-22.
In Exodus 16:11-17, when the children of Israel were on their way to the Promised Land, God rained down readymade food from heaven. Because they had never seen or tasted anything like it before, they called it ‘manna’.
In Numbers 11:1-32, when they were tired of eating only manna and wanted to eat meat, Moses cried to God on their behalf, and God told him there would be meat the next day.
As great as Moses’ faith was, he found it hard to believe there could be enough meat for all the Israelites within one day. By the next day, God had provided heaps of quails for them. One day, there was no meat, and the next day, there was an abundance. That is my God; He specialises in bringing something out of nothing. This is why you must never underestimate Him.
In 2 Kings 7:1-16, a city was experiencing a severe famine, and God spoke through His prophet that within 24 hours, there would be so much food that nobody would want to buy. There was a top government official who said it was impossible; he saw it come to pass, but he died before he could partake of the miracle.
It doesn’t matter how hopeless a situation is; just bring God into the equation, and He will bring something out of nothing.
A woman once asked me to pray for her child, who was dumb and had never spoken since birth. I laid my hand on the child and said, “In the name of Jesus,” and the child said, “Amen!” I had not even prayed yet, and God caused the child who had never spoken before to speak. He put a voice where there was none; I was so amazed, I almost jumped out of the window.
I pray for you today; in those areas where the enemy has caused emptiness, barrenness, and stagnation, the Great I Am will cause something good and beautiful to come out of them.
God specialises in creating magnificent things out of dark and empty places like He did in Genesis 1:1-3. Every nothingness in your life will turn into something bright and beautiful today, in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER POINT
Lord, please turn every nothingness in my life to something bright and beautiful today, in Jesus’ name.

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 27 MARCH 2025 COMMENTARY
The devotional for today highlights God’s ability to create abundance out of nothingness. A recurring theme throughout Scripture. It calls believers to radical faith in the God who speaks light into darkness, provision into famine, and miracles into hopelessness. Let’s break it down.
1. God’s Creative Power Over Nothingness (Genesis 1:2-3, Isaiah 43:15-16)
The Open Heaven devotional begins with Genesis 1:2-3, where God speaks order into chaos, light into darkness. This establishes a foundational truth:
- God specializes in the impossible. He doesn’t need pre-existing materials to work.
- His Word is creative (Hebrews 11:3). What He declares becomes reality.
- He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). If He did it in Genesis, He can do it in your life.
Key Lesson: Your situation may look formless and void, but God’s word can turn it around.
2. Biblical Proofs of God’s Sudden Provision
Daddy Adeboye references three major miracles where God brought something out of nothing:
A. The Red Sea (Exodus 14:21-22)
- Problem: No escape, trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the sea.
- God’s Solution: He made a road in the wilderness (Isaiah 43:16).
- Application: Your “Red Sea” is not a dead end. It’s a setup for divine intervention.
B. Manna and Quail (Exodus 16, Numbers 11)
- Problem: No food in the desert.
- God’s Solution: He rained bread from heaven and brought quail from nowhere.
- Key Insight: Even when Moses doubted (Numbers 11:21-22), God still provided.
- Application: Don’t limit God with human logic. He can suddenly supply what you need.
C. The Siege of Samaria (2 Kings 7:1-16)
- Problem: Famine so severe people resorted to cannibalism (2 Kings 6:28-29).
- God’s Solution: In 24 hours, He turned scarcity into surplus.
- Warning: The official who doubted saw the miracle but died before tasting it (v. 19-20).
- Application: Unbelief disqualifies us from miracles. Walk in faith!
3. The Testimony of the Dumb Child Speaking
Daddy Adeboye shares a personal miracle:
- Problem: A child born mute, never spoke.
- God’s Solution: At the name of Jesus, the child said “Amen!” before prayer was even completed.
- Key Truth: Jesus is the Word (John 1:1) when He speaks, dead things come alive.
Application:
- No condition is beyond His power (Luke 1:37).
- Sometimes, miracles happen instantly. Be expectant!
4. Prophetic Declaration Over Your Life
The Open Heaven devotional ends with a faith-filled decree:
“Every nothingness in your life will turn into something bright and beautiful today, in Jesus’ name.”
This is based on:
- God’s nature. He loves to glorify Himself in impossible situations (John 9:3).
- Our position in Christ. We are “more than conquerors” (Romans 8:37).
- The power of agreement. When we declare His Word, He confirms it (Mark 11:23).
Prayer Response:
“Father, I bring every area of emptiness, barrenness, and stagnation to You. Just as You spoke light into darkness, speak life into my situation. I believe You are turning my nothingness into something glorious. In Jesus’ name, Amen!”
Final Exhortation: Stand in Faith
Today’s devotional is a call to trust “God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.” (Romans 4:17):
- Remember His past miracles. What He did for Israel, He can do for you.
- Reject doubt. Like the official in 2 Kings 7, unbelief can rob you of miracles.
- Release faith. God’s word is powerful. Speak it in every situation.
- Rejoice in advance. Your turnaround is coming suddenly (Isaiah 60:22).
Hold on. Your miracle is on the way!
