Opening Prayer:

Father, give me an encounter that will differentiate me positively from others and make my word count amongst of the great in Jesus name.

Leader should remind members on the need to seek divine intervention for one’s nation in this critical time.

TODAY’S LESSON

Memory Verse: Exodus 3:3 (KJV)

And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

Bible Text: Exodus 14:21-27 (KJV)

²¹And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

²²And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

²³And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.

²⁴And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the Lord looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,

²⁵And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the Lord fighteth for them against the Egyptians.

²⁶And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.

²⁷And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.

Lesson Introduction:

Who is Moses? When God met Moses in the wilderness, He introduced HIMSELF to him as the God of his (Moses) Fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

And when Moses pressed on to know who, He was so as to tell the Hebrews in Egypt who had sent him, God said to Moses to tell them that “I AM” had sent him (Exo. 3:14), so we can say that the God of Moses is “IAM”

To let members know the manifestation of God’s awesome power through Moses.

At the end of the lesson, members should be able to know:

who Moses was.
who the God of Moses is.

Text Review: Exodus 14:21-27

Who is sailing the ship of your life determines your end.
Enemies will not surrender easily until they see the act of God.
The God of Moses will do new things to keep enemies silent totally.
Anything God starts, He will see it to its perfect ending.
There is always an end to the devil’s tyranny.

Lesson Outline One: WHO IS THE GOD OF MOSES?

Let us check the magnanimous acts of the God of Moses.

He qualifies the unqualified – Exodus 3:4.
He proves Himself mightier than the mightiest – Exo. 9: 10-12; 14:14.
He fulfils His covenant with His people – Exodus 6:4.
He is the giver of law and profitable commandments.
He hates murmuring and the act of ingratitude – Num. 14:27-28.
He can make you unique and cause you to end well – Deut. 34:10-12.
He grants all what you require to succeed.

Lesson Outline Two: WHO WAS MOSES?

Other than Jesus Christ, Moses is the most well known character in the Bible.

He was a Hebrew of the tribe of Levi who was raised as a prince in the palace of Pharaoh.
At 40, he escaped from Egypt because he killed an Egyptian – Exo.
2:12.
He led the Israelites out of 430 years of bondage.
He received the law for Israelites at Mount Sinai.
He was regarded as the meekest prophet to whom God spoke face to face.
His anger and loss of sanctity for a moment denied him entry into the Promised Land.
He performed miracles that silenced all ridicules of 430 years of slavery.

Who is therefore the God of Elijah, Elisha, Apostle Paul and Pastor E. A. Adeboye?

SUMMARY:

When God is interested in you, He shuns all your shortcomings.

PRAYER POINTS

Father, help me to deal with every weakness and distraction on my way to the top or my promised land in Jesus name.
Father, instruct us daily on how to fulfil Your purpose for our lives like Moses.
Father, let Your fire purify our hearts of all ungodly influx.
Father, release to me all virtues that will make me a Moses in my time.
I receive divine positioning to where my helpers are.

GOLDEN DIET FOR THE WEEK

MONDAY: And she called him Moses, and she said, Because I drew him out of the water – Exodus 2:10. May God use you to deliver a “Moses”.

TUESDAY: And God said unto Moses, I am that I am – Exo. 3:14.

WEDNESDAY: And the Lord said unto Moses, see I have made thee a god to Pharaoh. You are a god to your enemies, be daring.

THURSDAY: Affliction shall not rise up the second time – Nahum 1:9.

FRIDAY: There is no fear in love, but perfect love cast out fear – I John 4:18.

SATURDAY: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Fear God not man.
