RCCG YAYA SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER MANUAL 14 JULY 2024 (LESSON 46)

TOPIC: FRUITLESSNESS

OPENING PRAYER

Father, do not let me become a fruitless and unprofitable servant, in Jesus’ name.

TODAY’S LESSON

BIBLE PASSAGE: John 15:1-6.

MEMORY VERSE

“And even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” Matthew 3:10 (NKJV).

INTRODUCTION

Fruit-bearing is expected of anyone chosen and saved by Jesus Christ (John 15:16). God reacts to fruitlessness the same way He reacts to rebellion because failure to bear fruit is rebellion against the commandment and purpose of God (John 15:4).

For any branch of the vine to be barren or unfruitful it must have been separated from the vine making it impossible for the fluid of life that flows from the vine to reach it.
