RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 17 MARCH 2025 MESSAGE

In Genesis 1:28, God commanded man to be fruitful I and multiply. A barren womb does not give Him pleasure; this is why in Genesis 18:9-14 when He told Sarah that she would have a baby and she responded by laughing, He said, “Is anything too hard for me?” If you’re experiencing any form of barrenness in your life, it will become a thing of the past, in Jesus’ name.

I was visiting the USA, and one of my young friends insisted that I come to his house for dinner. We agreed to have a quiet dinner; however, when I got to his house, I met four other women besides his wife. I turned to him and said, “I thought we agreed that this would be a quiet dinner.” He responded, “They’ve come to help my wife to cook.” I wondered why the food we wanted to eat needed five women to prepare, but I didn’t know they had a plan. l ate the food, and after I left, the four women who were visiting took turns sitting on the chair I sat on because they were trusting God for the fruit of the womb.

The following year, when I was back in the USA, three of them were carrying their children, while the fourth was six months pregnant. If you are reading this and have been looking to God for the fruit of the womb, l extend the anointing to wherever you are right now, and if you will only believe, in nine months, you will receive your miracle.

At another time, I decided to use the restroom while the choir was ministering during a Holy Ghost Service in Kaduna, Nigeria. An usher, who was standing near the door, greeted me, and I shook hands with him. After I entered the restroom, he started rejoicing, and he excitedly went to tell the other ushers, “He shook my hands!” As I stepped out, there were about six ushers standing outside. I shook hands with them all; therefore, the usher who went to call the others received a second handshake. When he got home, he told his wife, who had been barren for years, “Bring your stomach. Daddy G.O. shook my hand twice!” Nine months later, their baby arrived.

Barrenness is not God’s will, and He has said in His word that none shall be barren in the land (Exodus 23:26). I decree an end to any form of barrenness that might exist in your life, in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINT

Father, Your word says that none shall be barren in the land; therefore, I decree that I shall experience fruitfulness in all aspects of my life, in Jesus’ name.

HYMN 26: THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS

OPEN HEAVEN 17 MARCH 2025 COMMENTARY

1. God’s Original Design: Fruitfulness

Open Heaven devotional for today begins by grounding itself in God’s first command to humanity“Be fruitful and multiply” (Genesis 1:28). This establishes:

  • Barrenness is not God’s will. It’s a distortion of His design (Exodus 23:26).
  • Sarah’s laughter (Genesis 18:12-14) revealed her unbelief, but God’s promise prevailed.

Key Insight:

  • Physical barrenness mirrors spiritual/emotional barrenness (e.g., unproductive ministries, stagnant careers).
  • God’s question “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” challenges our limits.

Application:
✔ Identify areas of “barrenness” in your life (relationships, creativity, finances).
✔ Pray: “Father, reverse every curse of fruitlessness in Jesus’ name!”

2. The Power of Contact Anointing

Today’s devotional shares two testimonies of barrenness broken through prophetic contact:

  1. The Four Women in the USA:
    • Strategy: Sat on Daddy Adeboye’s chair, believing for transfer of anointing.
    • Result: All four conceived within a year.
  2. The Usher in Kaduna:
    • Strategy: Received a double handshake.
    • Result: His wife delivered after years of barrenness.

Biblical Precedent:

  • The woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:27-29): Touched Jesus’ garment and was healed.
  • Paul’s handkerchiefs (Acts 19:11-12): Carried healing power.

Caution:

  • Faith in God, not objects, brings miracles (Acts 3:12-16). The chair/handshake were points of contact for faith.

Action Step:
✔ Seek God for YOUR point of contact (e.g., prayer cloths, laying on of hands).

3. The Role of Belief in Receiving Miracles

Jesus often linked miracles to faith (e.g., “Your faith has made you well” – Mark 5:34). The devotional emphasizes:

  • The women acted on belief (sitting on the chair).
  • The usher declared victory (“Bring your stomach!”).

Key Principle:

  • Faith activates God’s promises (Hebrews 11:11 – Sarah’s faith).
  • Doubt disqualifies (James 1:6-7).

Prayer:
“Lord, I choose to believe Your Word over my circumstances. Let my faith provoke my miracle!”

4. Types of Barrenness and Their Solutions

TypeExampleSolution
PhysicalSarah (Genesis 21)Prophetic declaration (Exodus 23:26)
SpiritualUnproductive ministryPrayer + obedience (John 15:5)
FinancialEmpty barns (Haggai 1:6)Faithful giving (Malachi 3:10)
EmotionalHannah’s grief (1 Sam. 1)Persistent prayer (v. 15-17)

Declarations:

  • “My body is fertile ground for God’s promises!”
  • “My gifts/marriage/business will bear fruit!”

5. Prophetic Decrees Over Your Life

The devotional closes with a powerful decree:
“An end to barrenness in Jesus’ name!”

Stand on These Promises:

  • “None shall miscarry or be barren in your land” (Exodus 23:26).
  • “He gives the barren woman a home, making her the joyous mother of children” (Psalm 113:9).

Action Steps:

  1. Pray and fast if possible claiming Exodus 23:26.
  2. Plant a seed (e.g., baby items, business investment) as a faith action.
  3. Testify to God’s faithfulness (Psalm 126:1-3).

Final Thought: Your Season of Fruitfulness Has Come!

Just as Isaac was born “at the set time” (Genesis 21:2), your miracle is divinely scheduled.

“The same God who opened Sarah’s womb is saying to you today: ‘Laugh no more – rejoice!’”

Prayer:
“Father, I reject every label of barrenness. By Your power, I declare fruitfulness in my body, ministry, and destiny. Let my life glorify You as the God of suddenlies! Amen.”

“Your ‘barren’ place is becoming a birthplace of miracles!”
