OPEN HEAVEN 25 FEBRUARY 2026 DEVOTIONAL TODAY

TOPIC: THE UNLIMITED GOD VI

MEMORISE
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
Exodus 3:14

READ: Daniel 7:13-14
13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 25 FEBRUARY 2026 MESSAGE TODAY

I will conclude my discussion on the Unlimited God today by telling you about an incident that happened in 1983 when we were about to hold the first-ever RCCG Annual Convention in Redemption City.

The city, which we called Redemption Camp back then, was a jungle, and we were just trying to erect some structures when, suddenly, a flock of tiny birds came in their hundreds of thousands and covered every tree around us. Within a day, they had eaten all the leaves on the trees and messed the whole place with their faeces, creating an awful stench. The birds were so tiny, and we didn’t know how to get rid of them. When I told God about the issue, He said, “Leave it to Me.”

Shortly after, dozens of mighty eagles came from nowhere and started killing and eating the birds. After a few hours, none of the little birds remained, and the eagles flew away. I decree that God will send help to you from places you least expect, in Jesus’ name.

When we wanted to start a church in Israel, I told one of the ambassadors to the country about our intention. On hearing this, he laughed and said,
“Everybody knows that America is best friends with Israel, yet the government of Israel has told America, ‘Since you’re a Christian country, you can have your diverse denominations, but we don’t want to hear anything about Pentecostals in our country. If they said that to America, and you are coming from Nigeria of all places, what are the chances that they’ll allow you to set up a branch of your church in their country?” I told him that my case would be different.

Being a diplomat, he immediately took a diplomatic approach with me and asked what I wanted him to do for me, as he could clearly see that I was determined to go ahead with the application. I asked him to help me submit an application letter to the government, and he did.

Six months later, we were registered. Our God is unlimited in influence and authority; He can bypass government decrees and policies for your sake.

Beloved, if you are faced with challenges that seem insurmountable, just remember that you serve a God who made a way through the Red Sea for the Israelites to pass through (Exodus 14:21-22). Call on Him in faith today, and He will remove all obstacles hindering your progress and grant you victory on all sides.

PRAYER POINT:

Unlimited Father, please take away every limitation that has kept me from enjoying Your fullness, in Jesus’ name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

Deuteronomy 12-15

HYMN 1: ALL HAIL THE POWER OF JESUS’ NAME

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 25 FEBRUARY 2026 COMMENTARY

MEMORISE: Exodus 3:14

“And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”

This memory verse reveals the self-existence and absolute authority of God. Daddy Adeboye concludes this series by anchoring our faith in the name I AM—the God who depends on nothing, answers to no one, and becomes whatever His people need at any moment. I AM means God is not restricted by time, resources, power, or permission.

BIBLE READING: Daniel 7:13–14

Key Truths from the Passage:

  • v.13: Christ is revealed as the Son of Man, coming with heavenly authority.
  • v.14: Dominion, glory, and an everlasting kingdom are given to Him.
  • His authority is universal, eternal, and unstoppable.

This scripture confirms that the Unlimited God rules above all earthly and spiritual systems. His dominion cannot be voted out, overturned, or challenged.

The Unlimited God in Practical Experience

Daddy Adeboye shifts from doctrine to living testimony, showing that God’s unlimited nature is not theoretical—it is experiential.

The Redemption Camp Encounter (1983): When God Sends Unusual Help

What was once a jungle became the venue for RCCG’s first Annual Convention. At the critical moment, an overwhelming problem arose:

The Crisis:

  • Hundreds of thousands of tiny birds
  • Total destruction of vegetation
  • Terrible stench and confusion
  • No human solution in sight

Tiny birds, yet massive damage—teaching us that small-looking problems can create big setbacks.

God’s Simple Instruction: “Leave It to Me”

Daddy Adeboye took the matter to God, and God did not give a strategy—He gave assurance.

The Divine Intervention:

  • Dozens of mighty eagles appeared suddenly
  • The eagles eliminated the birds completely
  • Order was restored
  • The helpers disappeared after the assignment

This shows that:

  • God can send custom-made help
  • He does not struggle with numbers
  • He does not announce His methods in advance

Prophetic Assurance for the Reader

“I decree that God will send help to you from places you least expect.”

This is a reminder that:

  • Help may not look familiar
  • Help may not come through people you expect
  • Help may arrive suddenly and leave quietly

But when God sends it, the problem will not survive it.

God Is Unlimited in Influence and Authority

The second testimony reveals God’s power over systems, policies, and governments.

The Israel Church Registration Testimony

Humanly speaking, the situation was impossible:

  • Israel officially rejected Pentecostal churches
  • Even America could not change the policy
  • Nigeria had no political leverage in comparison

Yet Daddy Adeboye declared, “My case will be different.”

When Faith Confronts Policy

An application letter was submitted—nothing dramatic, nothing forceful.

The Result:

  • Six months later
  • Full registration granted
  • Policy bypassed without protest

This teaches a powerful lesson:
God does not need to fight systems—He simply overrides them.

The Unlimited God Bypasses Barriers

  • Government policies do not intimidate Him
  • Legal walls do not trap Him
  • National boundaries do not restrict Him

Daddy Adeboye emphasizes that God is unlimited in influence, able to move hearts, bend rules, and rewrite outcomes for His children.

Remember the Red Sea

Beloved, when challenges look immovable, remember:

  • The Red Sea had no bridge
  • The Israelites had no boats
  • Pharaoh was behind them

Yet God made a way where no way existed (Exodus 14:21–22).

Your Response to Insurmountable Challenges

When faced with overwhelming obstacles:

  • Call on the I AM
  • Trust His unlimited authority
  • Refuse intimidation

Faith is not denying difficulty; it is affirming God’s supremacy over it.

Conclusion: The Unlimited God Still Reigns

Daddy Adeboye concludes by reminding us that the God we serve:

  • Commands eagles
  • Overrides governments
  • Divides seas
  • Rules eternally

No obstacle is permanent when I AM steps in.

Prayer:

“Unlimited God, I call upon You today. Send help to me from unexpected places. Override every policy, power, and obstacle standing against my progress. Make a way for me where there seems to be no way, in Jesus’ name.”

Action Steps:

  • Identify one challenge that looks impossible.
  • Declare Exodus 3:14 and Daniel 7:14 over it daily.
  • Thank God in advance for supernatural intervention.
  • Refuse fear—your God is unlimited.

Remember:
When I AM is involved, impossibility loses its meaning. Trust Him completely.
