RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 29 JULY 2025 TODAY MESSAGE

Over the past two days, I discussed the relationship between your past and present.

Today, I will conclude the series by discussing about your future and how your present will impact it.

As a believer, your future is secure because only God controls the past, the present, and the future – He is Alpha and Omega. This is why Colossians 1:27 says, “
… Christ in you, the hope of glory:”

Furthermore, Isaiah 3:10 says,
“Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him…” These are promises from God, assuring you that your future will be alright.

Your future can be categorised into two: your future on earth and your future in eternity. If you’re a genuine Christian, you shouldn’t worry about tomorrow because God has promised to take care of you here on earth.

In John 14:13, Jesus said that if you ask anything in His name, it will be given to you. He said in Matthew 7:9-11 that even in our wicked state, we humans would never give our children stones when they ask for bread, so how would we not expect Him to give us every good thing that we ask Him for? As long as you are His child, God has promised that you will lack no good thing here on earth.

God has also promised to take care of you when you leave the earth. In John 14:1-3, Jesus said:

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

As a genuine child of God, when you leave this world, a mansion in a city made of pure gold is waiting for you in heaven (Revelation 21:18).

Beloved, if you haven’t given your life to Jesus Christ, you are in the kingdom of darkness, and you are courting double jeopardy. On earth, satan will have the right to make a mess of you because you belong to his kingdom, and in eternity, you will be in the lake of fire, far away from God, who is the source of all peace, joy, and light.

If you haven’t given your life to Jesus, turn to Him right now because, outside Him, your future will be terrible (Isaiah 3:11).

OPEN HEAVEN 29 JULY 2025 KEY POINT

If you are in Christ and you remain in Him, your future is blessed.

HYMN 5: BLESSED ASSURANCE

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 29 JULY 2025 COMMENTARY

MEMORISE: Proverbs 4:18

“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”

This verse paints a breathtaking picture of the believer’s future—not a flickering candle, but an ever-increasing radiance that culminates in eternal brilliance.

BIBLE READING: 2 Corinthians 5:16-17

Paul’s revelation about new creation realities confirms:

  • v.17: Your past no longer defines you—Christ’s resurrection power rewrites your future
  • v.16: Earthly perspectives fade as we embrace kingdom vision

The Believer’s Double-Blessed Future

The devotional concludes with a triumphant declaration: In Christ, your earthly and eternal futures are secured by divine covenant.

1. Your Earthly Future: Guaranteed Provision

  • The Father’s Promise (Matthew 7:9-11):
    • If imperfect parents give good gifts, how much more will your perfect Father?
    • “No good thing will He withhold…” (Psalm 84:11)
  • Access Key:“Ask in My name” (John 14:13)
    • Not a blank check for greed, but kingdom-aligned petitions (James 4:3)

2. Your Eternal Future: Prepared Mansions

  • Jesus’ Personal Project (John 14:2-3):
    • He’s actively preparing your heavenly dwelling
    • Materials: transparent gold, divine architecture (Revelation 21:18-21)
  • Present Implications:
    • Live with eternal perspective (Colossians 3:1-2)
    • Let earthly trials fuel heavenly anticipation (2 Corinthians 4:17)

3. The Non-Believer’s Tragic Trajectory

  • Double Jeopardy:
    1. Earthly Torment: Satan’s legal rights over the unsaved (Acts 26:18)
    2. Eternal Fire: Separation from God’s goodness (Revelation 21:8)
  • Urgent Invitation:
    • “Today is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2)

How to Walk Into Your Glorious Future

  1. Daily Confession:
    • “My path grows brighter—I’m headed for my perfect day!” (Proverbs 4:18)
  2. Kingdom Prioritization:
    • Seek God’s agenda first (Matthew 6:33)—earthly needs follow
  3. Eternal Mindset:
    • Invest in what lasts forever (souls, godly character)

Warning Against Presumption

  • False Assurance:
    • Not everyone who says “Lord, Lord” enters heaven (Matthew 7:21)
    • True believers bear fruit (John 15:8)
  • Carnal Christianity:
    • Living like the world while claiming Christ risks “I never knew you” (Matthew 7:23)

Conclusion: Your Best Days Are Ahead

Pray this:
“Jesus, thank You for securing my earthly and eternal future. Help me walk worthy of my calling, knowing my brightest days—here and hereafter—are guaranteed in You. Use me to rescue others from darkness today!”

Action Steps:

  1. Write your heavenly resume—list eternal investments (souls won, prayers prayed)
  2. Share John 14:1-3 with one unsaved person this week
  3. Live light-filled—let your hope shine (Matthew 5:16)

Remember: In Christ, your future isn’t left to chance—it’s crafted by covenant. Walk boldly into your double-blessed destiny!

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jeremiah 29:11). Your expected end is glorious!
