OPEN HEAVEN 9 MARCH 2025 DEVOTIONAL

TOPIC: CREATIVE MIRACLES

MEMORISE
But Jesus beheld them and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Matthew 19:26

READ: John 9:1-7
And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 9 MARCH 2025 MESSAGE

Miracles are extraordinary events that defy natural and scientific explanations. Our God is a God of miracles, and He takes great delight in shocking doubters and sceptics. God does different kinds of miracles, but today, I will focus on His creative miracles.

God performs creative miracles when people have concluded that a terrible situation is beyond remedy – nothing is impossible for Him. In today’s Bible reading, Jesus and His disciples passed by a man who had been born blind, and the disciples asked Jesus about whose sin was responsible for the man’s predicament. Jesus told them that it wasn’t a question of sin but that the man’s condition was intended to bring God glory. Jesus spat on the ground, made some mud, and put it on the blind man’s eyes. He then told the man to go and wash, and after he washed off the mud, he came back seeing. That is what I call a creative miracle – a miracle involving the act of creation. If the doctors have said that you have an irreversible medical condition, God will recreate the part of your body that is affected, in Jesus’ name. This was what God did in 2 Kings 5:1-14 when He healed Naaman’s leprosy and made his flesh become like that of a newborn baby.

I have seen numerous cases of women who didn’t have a womb but who gave birth to babies. Some of them had multiple births more than once. God is able to handle genetic issues, change blood groups, replace missing body parts, and even increase or reduce people’s weights and heights.

A man who had childlike faith once sat listening to me. As miracles happened around the altar, he struggled to see all that was happening because his sight was blocked by people who were taller than him. He then said in his heart, “If only I was taller.” God heard him and told me that there was someone in the congregation who wished he was taller. He told me to tell the person to look down, and if he finds that his trousers have become shorter, he should know that there is nothing wrong with them because he is the one who had grown taller.

When it was time for testimonies, he came forward with his wife, who testified that her husband had indeed grown taller. How do you explain that? God’s creative power was at work to make the impossible possible.

I pray that God will give you creative miracles, in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINT

Father, please stretch forth Your mighty hands to heal and do mighty wonders and creative miracles in my life and family, in Jesus’ name (Acts 4:30).

HYMN 25: THE GREAT PHYSICIANS NOW IS NEAR

OPEN HEAVEN 9 MARCH 2025 COMMENTARY

1. The Nature of Creative Miracles

Open Heaven devotional for today defines creative miracles as divine acts where God rewrites natural laws, creating or restoring what human ability cannot fix. Examples include:

  • Blind eyes formed from mud (John 9:6-7).
  • Leprous skin made “like a baby’s” (2 Kings 5:14).
  • Wombs birthed where none existed (like Sarah in Genesis 21:1-2).

Key Insight:
Creative miracles often occur when medicine/science has declared a case hopeless. They showcase God’s sovereignty over biology, physics, and genetics.

Application:
✔ Never accept “irreversible” diagnoses as final. God specializes in impossibilities (Luke 1:37).
✔ Pray with specificity for creative miracles (e.g., “Lord, recreate my damaged organs!”).

2. Why God Performs Creative Miracles

Jesus clarified that the blind man’s condition existed “that the works of God should be made manifest” (John 9:3). Similarly:

  • Creative miracles glorify God, silencing skeptics (Psalm 98:1).
  • They validate His lordship over creation (Colossians 1:16-17).
  • They ignite faith in unbelievers (Acts 9:32-35 – Aeneas’ healing led to mass conversions).

Modern Testimonies (Daddy Adeboye’s Account):

  • A man grew taller instantly defying biological limits.
  • Women without wombs conceived overturning medical verdicts.

Lesson:
God still performs creative miracles today to prove His Word and power (Mark 16:20).

3. How to Position Yourself for Creative Miracles

a) Faith That Expects the Extraordinary

  • The blind man obeyed Jesus’ unusual instruction (washing mud off his eyes), demonstrating active faith (John 9:7).
  • Naaman initially resisted Elisha’s method (dipping in the Jordan), but obedience brought his miracle (2 Kings 5:13-14).

Action Step:
✔ Don’t limit God to “logical” solutions. His ways defy human reasoning (Isaiah 55:8-9).

b) Persistent Prayer and Declaration

  • The devotional emphasizes speaking God’s creative power over “irreversible” conditions.
  • Example: “Dry bones, live!” (Ezekiel 37:4-5).

Prayer Strategy:
“Father, just as You formed Adam from dust, recreate ______ in my body. Let every cell align with Your original design, in Jesus’ name!”

c) Testimony-Driven Expectation

  • Daddy Adeboye’s stories of womb creations and height increases build faith for similar miracles.
  • Revelation 12:11 teaches that testimonies overcome the devil.

Application:
✔ Consume miracle testimonies to fuel your faith (Romans 10:17).

4. Overcoming Doubt and Skepticism

Creative miracles often attract ridicule (e.g., Sarah laughed at God’s promise – Genesis 18:12-14). To combat doubt:

  1. Focus on God’s track record (Jeremiah 32:27).
  2. Ignore “expert” opinions that contradict Scripture (Proverbs 3:5-6).
  3. Like the man in the devotional, voice childlike requests (“If only I were taller…”).

Warning:

  • Unbelief hinders miracles (Matthew 13:58).
  • Fear must surrender to faith (Mark 5:36).

5. The Ultimate Purpose: Glory to God

Every creative miracle points to:

  • God’s compassion (Mark 1:41).
  • His dominion over creation (Psalm 135:6).
  • His desire for intimacy (Miracles draw us closer to Him – John 6:26-29).

Final Encouragement:
Your “impossible” situation is raw material for God’s creative power. Whether it’s:

  • A genetic disorder,
  • A missing organ, or
  • A stunted growth,

Pray Boldly:
“Father, shock my skeptics! Do what only You can do, and let the world see Your glory through me!”

“Call unto Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

Action Steps:

  1. Identify an “impossible” area in your life.
  2. Speak creative Scriptures over it daily (e.g., Genesis 1:3; Psalm 139:14).
  3. Share past miracles to strengthen others’ faith.

“The God who formed galaxies from nothing is ready to recreate YOUR story!”
