    TOPIC: PRAYERS FOR YOURSELF

    MEMORISE
I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
    Psalm 3:4

    READ: Psalm 30:1-8
I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
2 O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
3 O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
4 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
7 Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
8 I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication.

OPEN HEAVEN 6 MARCH 2025 DEVOTIONAL

    TOPIC: GOD IN YOU

    MEMORISE
For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
    1 Corinthians 11:31

    READ: 1 Corinthians 11:23-34
23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.
30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
33 Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
34 And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 6 MARCH 2025 MESSAGE

When you partake of the Holy Communion, you are eating Jesus’ body and drinking His blood, as we read in today’s Bible reading. You are not just touching his body and blood, you are ingesting Him, and you can boldly say to anyone, “Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).

When I was an interpreter for my Father in the Lord, I usually looked forward to Holy Communion services. Then, we partook of the Holy Communion once every year, and I was always excited because I knew that my spiritual battery would be recharged.

Papa would be preaching, and I would be interpreting, thinking to myself, “Papa, please hurry up so we can get to the Communion.” By the time we finally got around to drinking the wine, I usually had to control myself from dropping the cup because I would be shaking from head to toe. I cherish partaking of the Communion so much because I always experience a new infilling of the Holy Spirit every time I drink the wine.

    The Holy Communion is not an ordinary meal;

the moment God’s minister blesses the breac and the wine, using the words of Jesus Christ in 1 Corinthians 11:24-26, they become sacred.

The wine in the Communion represents the blood of Jesus, and this blood cleanses from all sin. The blood also causes every evil to pass over us as it did with the Israelites on the night the destroyer killed all the firstborns in Egypt (Exodus 12:21-30). This means that the blood

oT Jesus erotects us and erents us victory oven the enemy (Revelation 12:11). This is why those who drink it unworthily in sin) fall sick and die (1 Corinthians 11:27-30). Those who drink it worthily experience a resurrection power from within, producing healing, deliverance, intimacy with God, and more.

When you take the Holy Communion, you have come to dine at the table of the King of kings, and it is important that you do not have anything that will mark you as an enemy of the King as you approach His table. Ensure that you examine yourself and get rid of anything that would expose you to the wrath of the King. Get rid of sin, doubt, and everything that would not allow the power in Christ’s body and blood to manifest in your life.

    ACTION POINT

Let go of everything that will not allow the power of God in the Holy Communion to manifest in your life.

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

    Joshua 5-7

HYMN 28: WHAT CAN WASH AWAY MY STAIN

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 6 MARCH 2025 COMMENTARY

    1. The Profound Significance of Holy Communion

Open Heaven devotional for today underscores that Communion is not a ritual but a supernatural encounter with Christ’s body and blood (1 Corinthians 10:16).

    • It’s ingestion, not just symbolism: When we partake, we internalize Jesus’ sacrifice (John 6:53-56).
    • It’s empowerment: Like a “spiritual battery recharge,” it renews our spiritual vitality (Psalm 103:5).

    Personal Testimony (Daddy Adeboye’s Experience):

    • The trembling awe he felt during Communion reflects reverence for Christ’s tangible presence.
    • The annual practice (now more frequent in many churches) highlights its sacredness, not routine.

    Application:
✔ Approach Communion with expectancy, not habit.
✔ Declare its power: “Greater is He in me than he in the world!” (1 John 4:4).

    2. The Blood and Body: Protection and Victory

    The elements carry covenant power:

    1. The Bread (Christ’s Body):
      • Healing (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24).
      • Unity with Christ and the Church (1 Corinthians 10:17).
    2. The Wine (Christ’s Blood):
      • Cleansing from sin (1 John 1:7).
      • Protection from evil (Exodus 12:13; Revelation 12:11).
      • Victory over the enemy (Colossians 2:15).

Warning: Unworthy participation (without repentance) invites judgment (1 Corinthians 11:27-30).

    Illustration:

    • Just as the Passover blood spared Israel (Exodus 12), Christ’s blood shields believers today.

    Application:
✔ Before Communion, confess and repent of all known sin (1 John 1:9).
✔ Claim the blood’s protection over your life daily.

    3. The Danger of Unworthy Participation

    Paul’s warning (1 Corinthians 11:29-30) is stark:

    • “Discerning the Lord’s body” means recognizing its holiness and purpose.
    • Unworthily partaking is disrespecting Christ’s sacrifice, leading to weakness, sickness, or even death.

    Modern Parallels:

    • Treating Communion as a “tradition” rather than a covenant act.
    • Harboring unrepentant sin while partaking (e.g., bitterness, pride, immorality).

    Call to Action:
✔ “Examine yourself” (1 Corinthians 11:28) before taking Communion.
✔ Restore broken relationships (Matthew 5:23-24).

    4. The Transformational Power of Communion

For those who partake in faith and purity, Communion releases:

    1. Resurrection Life (John 6:54) – Renewed spiritual strength.
    2. Divine Health (Psalm 105:37) – Healing for physical ailments.
    3. Intimacy with God (John 15:4-5) – Deeper fellowship.

    Daddy Adeboye’s Emphasis:

    • The “shaking” he experienced signifies the Holy Spirit’s tangible infilling.
    • Communion is a table of grace, but also a place of divine scrutiny.

    Application:
✔ Pray before Communion to sensitize your spirit.
✔ Journal testimonies of breakthroughs post-Communion.

    5. Practical Preparation for Communion

    1. Repentance: Confess sins (1 Corinthians 11:31).
    2. Faith: Believe in its power (Mark 11:24).
    3. Reverence: Dress and act honorably (Ecclesiastes 5:1).
    4. Thanksgiving: Gratitude for Christ’s sacrifice (Psalm 100:4).

    Prayer Focus:
“Lord, purify my heart as I approach Your table. Let Your body and blood work in me—healing, delivering, and empowering me to live for Your glory. Amen.”

    Final Thought: Communion as Warfare

    Every time you partake, you:

    • Proclaim Christ’s victory over Satan (1 Corinthians 11:26).
    • Activate angelic assistance (Hebrews 1:14).
    • Seal your covenant with God (Jeremiah 31:31-34).

“The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you!” (Romans 8:11)

    Action Step:

    • Next Communion, partake with awareness of its power, not ritual.
    • Rebuke sickness, lack, and oppression in Jesus’ name as you eat and drink.

“Taste and see that the Lord is good!” (Psalm 34:8)

TOPIC: WHEN YOUR FAITH IS NOT ENOUGH

    MEMORISE
And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
    Mark 9:24

    READ: Ezekiel 37:1-14
The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,
2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.
3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest.
4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.
5 Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

8 And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.
9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.
10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.
12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
13 And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 5 MARCH 2025 MESSAGE

In today’s Bible reading, Ezekiel found himself in a valley that was full of dry bones. When God asked him, “Can these bones live?” The prophet, considering the seemingly impossible situation before him, answered, “Lord, only You can tell.” In other words, he was saying, “This is beyond my faith.” God asked him to prophesy, and as he did, the dry bones came back to life.

Most ministers of God know that He can do all things. However, sometimes, the faith of even the greatest ministers can be terribly shaken.

Sometimes, God will ask me to do something, and despite my faith in Him, I will say, “Daddy, this is beyond my faith.” He will ask me to prophesy all the same, and I will just obey and leave the fulfilment to Him.

When you hear a minister of God prophesy, and it is beyond your faith, please don’t speak against the prophecy. Even if you don’t believe the prophecy, control your mouth not to speak against it because the consequences may be severe. In 2 Kings 7:19-20, a top government official said it was impossible for Elisha’s prophecy to be fulfilled; he saw the prophecy come to pass, but he died before he could partake of it.

In Mark 9:14-27, Jesus’ disciples were unable to deliver a demon-possessed boy, and his father had lost hope. When Jesus arrived at the scene, the boy’s father’s request for compassion was filled with doubt. I know this because Jesus said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Instead of sinking further in unbelief, the man cried out, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief,” and he received his miracle.

When situations are beyond your faith, cry out to God for help to believe. He can increase your faith to help you cooperate with Him to birth the impossible. Don’t hinder your miracle because of unbelief. God wants you to be willing to do whatever He demands, like the servants at the wedding in Cana (John 2:5-8).

Beloved, when God brings situations that are beyond your faith your way, He wants to glorify Himself. At such times, it is not about what your faith can do but what God can do with your obedience and whatever measure of faith you have.

    KEY POINT

When a situation is beyond your faith, look to God and do whatever He commands.

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

    Joshua 1-4

HYMN 30: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 5 MARCH 2025 COMMENTARY

    1. The Crisis of Limited Faith

The Open Heaven devotional for today opens with Ezekiel’s encounter in the valley of dry bones—a picture of hopelessness and impossibility. When God asked, “Can these bones live?” Ezekiel’s response revealed raw honesty: “Only You know” (Ezekiel 37:3).

    Key Insight:

    • Even great men of God face moments where their faith wavers.
    • God doesn’t rebuke Ezekiel for his doubt; He commands him to prophesy anyway.

    Lesson for Us:
✔ Your faith doesn’t have to be perfect—just obedient.
✔ God often calls us to act despite our doubts (e.g., Peter walking on water, Matthew 14:28-31).

    2. The Danger of Rejecting Prophetic Words

Today’s devotional warns against mocking or dismissing prophecies we don’t understand:

    • The skeptical official in 2 Kings 7:19-20 saw Elisha’s prophecy fulfilled but died before benefiting from it.
    • Unbelief can block blessings (Matthew 13:58 – Jesus “did not do many miracles in Nazareth due to their unbelief”).

    Application:
✔ Even if a word from God seems impossible, hold your peace (Habakkuk 2:3).
✔ Don’t let your intellect override your faith (Proverbs 3:5-6).

    3. The Prayer That Moves God: “Help My Unbelief!”

In Mark 9:24, the desperate father’s cry models how to approach God when faith is weak:

    1. Honesty: “I believe… but I’m struggling.”
    2. Humility: “I need Your help to trust You.”

    Why This Prayer Works:

    • God responds to honest vulnerability (Psalm 51:17).
    • He rewards those who earnestly seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

    Prayer:
“Lord, I choose to believe but strengthen my faith where it’s lacking!”

    4. Obedience > Perfect Faith

The servants at Cana (John 2:5-8) had no idea Jesus would turn water to wine but they obeyed anyway. Likewise:

    • Ezekiel didn’t feel faith, he just prophesied.
    • The disciples failed to cast out a demon (Mark 9:18), but Jesus showed that faith the size of a mustard seed is enough (Matthew 17:20).

    Key Principle:

    • God doesn’t need your great faith. He needs your willing obedience.
    • Miracles happen when we cooperate with God’s instructions, even if we don’t fully understand.

    Action Step:
✔ Is God asking you to do something “impossible”? Step out in obedience today!

    5. The Ultimate Goal: God’s Glory

    God allows impossible situations because:

    • They reveal His power (John 9:3 – the blind man’s condition was “so that the works of God might be displayed”).
    • They dismantle human pride (2 Corinthians 12:9 – “My power is made perfect in weakness”).

    Encouragement:

    • Your valley of dry bones is a setup for resurrection!
    • Your “I can’t” is God’s opportunity to say, “But I CAN.”

Final Thought: Faith Is a Journey

Like the father in Mark 9, you may oscillate between belief and doubt. But God honors the heart that cries:
“I’m holding onto You—even when my faith feels small.”

“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)

    Prayer:
“Lord, I surrender my doubts to You. Where my faith is weak, strengthen me. Help me obey even when I don’t see the way. Let Your glory shine through my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Your obedience in the valley of dry bones will become someone else’s testimony!

Open Heaven Devotional 4 March 2025: FOR HIS GLORY

Today’s Open Heaven devotional (4 March 2025) is FOR HIS GLORY

The daily devotion guide is written by Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

Open Heaven Devotional 4 March 2025: FOR HIS GLORY

OPEN HEAVEN 4 MARCH 2025 DEVOTIONAL

    TOPIC: FOR HIS GLORY

    MEMORISE
Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
    Psalm 29:2

    READ: Isaiah 48:9-11
9 For my name’s sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.
10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 4 MARCH 2025 MESSAGE

Yesterday, I discussed how every part of your life was created to give God pleasure. Today, I want to show you that you were also created to give God glory.

In John 9:1-7, the disciples asked Jesus about what was responsible for a blind man’s situation, and He replied that it was not a question of sin but that God’s glory might be revealed. The Lord spat on the ground, made some mud, put it on the blind man’s eyes, and asked him to go and wash. The blind man came back seeing.

Glory belongs to God; He is the Father of glory (Ephesians 1:17). God is very jealous of His glory (Isaiah 42:8), and everything you do must give Him glory. If you try to hinder God from getting glory, He will only use you to get even more glory, as He did with Pharaoh. Even today, God is getting glory from the destruction of Pharaoh and his army because he tried to hinder the Israelites from worshipping and giving God glory (Exodus 15:1-4). Those who try to take God’s glory will bring God’s judgment upon themselves if they don’t repent. When Nebuchadnezzar’s heart was lifted because of his accomplishments, God made him roam the forest for seven years like a wild beast (Daniel 4:28-33). After eating grass like an animal, his understanding returned to him, and he gave God the glory He deserved (Daniel 4:34). It took a terrible experience for Nebuchadnezzar to give all the glory to God – do not be like Him. Always give God the glory that is due to His name. Herod also learnt to give God the glory the hard way.

However, unlike Nebuchadnezzar who got a second chance, he was eaten up by worms until he died because he didn’t give God the glory (Acts 12:20-23).

It is a terrible and fearful thing to fall into the hands of our God, who doesn’t share His glory.

When God does something for you, don’t act like you did it all by yourself; acknowledge Him and give Him the glory. Some men of God have allowed the power God gave them to deceive them into thinking they are very important. Stop stealing God’s show because you are absolutely nothing without Him. When God does anything through you, He does it for His name’s sake. Don’t ever forget that you are what you are by the grace of God. God deserves all the glory, and He must have it all.

    PRAYER POINT

Father, I repent of every time I might have taken credit for the things You have done in my life. I will give You the glory due unto Your name now and always, in Jesus’ name.

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

    Deuteronomy 33-34

HYMN 18: PRAISE TO THE LORD THE ALMIGHTY

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 4 MARCH 2025 COMMENTARY

    1. The Divine Purpose: You Were Made to Glorify God

The Open Heaven devotional for today builds on yesterday’s theme—we exist for God’s pleasure—but today emphasizes that pleasing Him is inseparable from glorifying Him.

    • The blind man in John 9 was born with his condition not because of sin, but so that God’s glory could be displayed (John 9:3).
    • Miracles are not about us; they are about showcasing God’s power (Isaiah 48:11 – “For My own sake… I will not give My glory to another”).

    Key Insight:

    • Your life is a stage for divine demonstration. Every trial, victory, or breakthrough is an opportunity to magnify God.

    Application:
✔ Stop asking, “Why me?” in hard times; ask, “How can God be glorified here?” (1 Peter 4:12-13).
✔ Live intentionally to reflect His majesty (Matthew 5:16).

    2. God’s Jealousy for His Glory

God is righteously possessive of His glory (Isaiah 42:8). The devotional warns:

    • Pharaoh resisted God’s glory. God drowned him and got eternal praise (Exodus 15:1-4).
    • Nebuchadnezzar boasted. God humbled him until he repented (Daniel 4:30-34).
    • Herod accepted worship. God struck him dead (Acts 12:22-23).

    Modern Parallels:

    • Leaders who claim credit for God’s works.
    • Believers who attribute success to their “smartness” or “hard work.”

    Warning:

    • “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6).
    • Pride invites destruction; humility invites promotion (Proverbs 16:18).

    Application:
✔ Audit your heart: Do I subtly seek praise for what God has done?
✔ Redirect applause to God (1 Corinthians 15:10 – “By the grace of God I am what I am”).

    3. The Grace of Second Chances (vs. Sudden Judgment)

    • Nebuchadnezzar repented and was restored (Daniel 4:34-37).
    • Herod refused repentance and died horribly (Acts 12:23).

    Lesson:

    • God is patient, but His justice is certain (Numbers 14:18; Nahum 1:3).
    • Those who humble themselves avoid divine correction (2 Chronicles 7:14).

    Application:
✔ Repent quickly when pride creeps in.
✔ Use testimonies to point others to God, not yourself.

    4. Practical Ways to Give God Glory

    1. In Speech:
      • Replace “I achieved…” with “God enabled me…”
      • Testify openly (Psalm 105:1).
    2. In Lifestyle:
      • Live with integrity so others “see your good deeds and glorify God” (Matthew 5:16).
    3. In Worship:
      • Like David, “bless the Lord at all times” (Psalm 34:1).

    Prayer Focus:
“Lord, strip me of every trace of pride. Let my life be a mirror reflecting Your glory alone. Forgive me for times I’ve stolen Your praise. Use me as a vessel for Your honor, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

    Final Warning & Encouragement

    • Terrible consequence: “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31).
    • Beautiful reward: “The meek shall inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5).

    Bottom Line:
You are nothing without God but with Him, you are everything He destined you to be. Walk humbly, and He will exalt you in due time (1 Peter 5:6).

“Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto Thy name give glory!” (Psalm 115:1)

Open Heaven Devotional 3 March 2025: FOR HIS PLEASURE

Today’s Open Heaven devotional (3 March 2025) is FOR HIS PLEASURE

The daily devotion guide is written by Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

Open Heaven Devotional 3 March 2025: FOR HIS PLEASURE

OPEN HEAVEN 3 MARCH 2025 DEVOTIONAL

    TOPIC: FOR HIS PLEASURE

    MEMORISE
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
    Revelation 4:11

    READ: Mark 8:22-26
22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.
23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 3 MARCH 2025 MESSAGE

God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning (Genesis 1:1-3). Today’s memory verse also says that He made all things for His pleasure. Thus, He can control all things, and this is why the wind and the sea obeyed Him (Mark 4:35-41).

You were made for God’s pleasure, but He cannot get any pleasure when your body is sick. In Mark 3:1-5, Jesus saw a man with a withered hand in the temple and must have thought to Himself, “Hand, I didn’t make you to be withered; I made you for clapping.” The man with the withered hand didn’t pray or ask for healing; the Lord healed the hand because it wasn’t giving Him pleasure.

There was once an elderly man who was driving his Ford car when it suddenly broke down by the roadside. As he stood by the car looking confused, a rich man stopped right next to him and asked if he could help. The rich man got out of his car, opened the trunk of the faulty car, touched a few things, and attempted to start the car. Immediately, the car started. Amazed, the old man turned to the rich man and asked, “Why did you stop to help me?” The rich man replied, “My name is Henry Ford. I made that car to run, not to stop by the wayside.” Beloved, the One who made you is passing by now, and He will deal with everything in your life that is not giving Him glory, in Jesus’ name.

When something is not as God created it to be, it doesn’t give Him pleasure. If there is any part of your life that is not revealing God’s purpose, rather than complain, begin to speak God’s counsel over it. God does all things after the counsel of His will, and when you stand on His will concerning anything, that thing must align to give Him pleasure (Ephesians 1:11).

In today’s Bible reading, a blind man was brought to Jesus. Jesus led him out of the town, spat in his eyes, and put His hands on him. When He asked the blind man if he saw anything, the man replied, “I see men as trees walking.” Even though he could now see, his eyes were not working optimally. Jesus didn’t leave him to ‘manage’ the eyes; He laid His hands on him again, and he saw clearly. God wants every aspect of your life to perform optimally; nothing less than this gives Him pleasure.

    PRAYER POINT

Lord, please transform my life so that everything that concerns me will always give You pleasure, in Jesus’ name.

HYMN 25: THE GREAT PHYSICIANS NOW IS NEAR

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 3 MARCH 2025 COMMENTARY

    1. The Divine Intent: Creation for God’s Pleasure

The Open Heaven devotional for today begins with a foundational truth: Everything exists for God’s pleasure (Revelation 4:11).

    • God designed you for His glory (Isaiah 43:7).
    • Sickness, lack, and dysfunction were not part of His original plan (Genesis 1:31 – “It was very good”).

    Illustration:

    • Just as Henry Ford fixed his malfunctioning car because he designed it to runGod steps in to restore what is not functioning according to His will.

    Application:
✔ Recognize that your life is not your own (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
✔ Stop tolerating what displeases God (e.g., chronic sickness, bondage, stagnation).

    2. God’s Displeasure with Dysfunction

In Mark 3:1-5, Jesus healed a man with a withered hand without being asked because:

    • A withered hand couldn’t clap in worship.
    • A blind man couldn’t behold God’s glory (Mark 8:22-26).
    • A broken life cannot fulfill divine purpose.

    Key Insight:

    • God doesn’t want you to “manage” dysfunction (e.g., “I see men as trees walking”). He wants full restoration (John 10:10).

    Application:
✔ Identify areas in your life not glorifying God (health, finances, relationships).
✔ Speak God’s counsel over them (Jeremiah 29:11).

    3. The Process of Divine Adjustment

The blind man in Mark 8 received healing in stages:

    1. Jesus led him away from the crowd (v. 23). Separation for divine attention.
    2. He spat on his eyes and laid hands (v. 23). Supernatural impartation.
    3. He asked, “Do you see anything?” (v. 23). Faith activation.
    4. He touched him again (v. 25). Complete restoration.

    Lesson:

    • Some breakthroughs require persistent faith (Matthew 15:21-28 – Syrophoenician woman).
    • God won’t leave you halfway—He completes what He starts (Philippians 1:6).

    Application:
    ✔ Don’t settle for partial miracles (e.g., “I’m a little better”).
✔ Keep pressing in until you see clearly (Mark 5:25-34 – Woman with the issue of blood).

    4. Speaking God’s Counsel Over Your Life

Ephesians 1:11 says God works all things after the counsel of His will.

    • Your words must align with His Word (Proverbs 18:21).
    • Complaining reinforces bondage; faith declares freedom (Numbers 14:28).

    Example:

    • Instead of saying, “This sickness won’t go away,” declare:
“By His stripes, I am healed!” (Isaiah 53:5).

    Prayer Strategy:

    • “Lord, adjust every area of my life that doesn’t reflect Your glory. Heal my body, restore my vision, and perfect all that concerns me, in Jesus’ name!”

Final Thought: You Were Made for More

    • God didn’t create you to struggle (3 John 1:2).
    • He takes pleasure in your wholeness (Psalm 35:27).

“The One who made you is passing by today. Will you let Him fix what’s broken?”

    Action Step:

    1. List areas of dysfunction in your life.
    2. Speak Scripture over them daily.
    3. Expect full restoration.

“For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.” (Psalm 149:4)

This is your season of divine realignment!

OPEN HEAVEN 2 MARCH 2025 DEVOTIONAL

    TOPIC: BUT FOR THE LORD

    MEMORISE
Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
    Psalm 124:6

    READ: Psalm 124:1-8
    If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say;
2 If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
3 Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
4 Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
5 Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
6 Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
7 Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 2 MARCH 2025 MESSAGE

When I was a lecturer at the University of Ilorin, after my morning lectures, I would leave the campus, go home for lunch, and relax before returning for my evening lectures. I was also serving as the pastor of the RCCG parish in Ilorin then, so our living room was constantly filled with people. One afternoon, after eating, Ilay on the couch in the living room to rest before returning for my evening lectures.

I closed my eyes so people walking around would think that I was sleeping and not disturb

While lying down, someone grabbed my hands and legs and bent as if to kiss me. Initially, I thought it was my wife, but then I realised that whoever could hold my hands and legs at the same time must be much taller and stronger than her. I opened my eyes immediately, and the being (I really couldn’t make out what it was) vanished. I wondered what had just happened as I felt a cold sensation run down my spine. I shook it off and went for my lectures. While I was on the campus, I started experiencing a terrible stomach ache, which led to severe stooling and vomiting.

On returning home, had to practically crawl from my car to the bathroom. Then I asked,

“Lord, why is this happening to me?” and He responded, “I just wanted you to get a glimpse of the battles I fight for you that you are not aware of.” Immediately He said that, the stomach ache, stooling, and vomiting stopped.

You have no idea how much God protects you as you go about your daily activities. You may think that you go and come safely because you are very careful or because you are a good driver, but believe me, your carefulness or driving skills cannot get you out of an accident that the devil has planned; only God can guarantee your safety. If you think that you are surrounded by security personnel, what will happen if they face a terror group with more sophisticated weapons than them? This is why Psalm 127:1 says that the watchman watches in vain if the Lord is not watching over the city.

Beloved, some people have plied the same routes you ply and gotten kidnapped or killed.

Also, the same kind of food you eat is what has caused the death of others. You should constantly thank God for your safety; you will not be alive without Him (Lamentations 3:22).

    ACTION POINT

Today is my birthday; please thank God on my behalf because He truly has been faithful to me.

OPEN HEAVEN 2 MARCH 2025 COMMENTARY

    1. The Reality of Spiritual Warfare (Unseen Battles)

The Open Heaven devotional for today opens with a personal testimony from Pastor E.A. Adeboye about a supernatural encounter where an unknown being attacked him, followed by sudden sickness. This experience revealed a profound truth: There are battles fought in the spiritual realm that we are unaware of (Ephesians 6:12).

    • Satanic Oppression is Real: The attack came disguised (initially seeming like a loved one), showing that the enemy often works subtly (2 Corinthians 11:14).
    • God’s Intervention is Constant: Though the attack was sudden, God allowed it only to teach a lesson – that He is always fighting for us (Exodus 14:14).

    Application:
✔ Acknowledge spiritual warfare – not everything is a coincidence.
✔ Pray for divine covering daily (Psalm 91).
✔ Stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s warnings (John 16:13).

    2. Human Limitations vs. Divine Protection

Many people trust in their own abilities – careful driving, strong security, good health – but the truth is:

    • No human effort can stop a demonic attack (Zechariah 4:6).
    • Safety is not by power nor by might, but by God’s Spirit (Psalm 127:1).

    Illustration:

    • The same road others traveled and were kidnapped, you passed safely not because you were smarter, but because God shielded you.
    • The same food that poisoned others didn’t harm you because of divine preservation.

    Application:
✔ Stop taking God’s protection for granted.
✔ Thank Him daily for unseen deliverances (Lamentations 3:22-23).

    3. The Lesson: God Fights for His Children

When Daddy Adeboye asked, “Lord, why is this happening?”, God responded:

    • “I just wanted you to get a glimpse of the battles I fight for you that you are not aware of.”

    This means:

    • We survive dangers we never knew existed (Daniel 3:27 – Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fire).
    • Some attacks are diverted before they reach us (Psalm 91:7 – “A thousand may fall at your side, but it will not come near you”).

    Biblical Examples:

    • Elisha’s servant saw the angelic army protecting them (2 Kings 6:17).
    • Peter was miraculously freed from prison (Acts 12:7-11).

    Application:
✔ Walk in gratitude, not in presumption.
✔ Pray for divine covering over your family, journeys, and health.

    4. The Proper Response: Thankfulness & Dependence on God

Many people only realize God’s protection after a near-death experience. But we should:

    1. Thank God daily for His mercies (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
    2. Acknowledge that without Him, we are vulnerable (John 15:5).
    3. Live in faith, not fear (Isaiah 41:10).

    Prayer Focus:

    • “Lord, open my eyes to see Your hand of protection over my life. Help me to never take Your grace for granted. Where I have trusted in my own strength, forgive me. I depend on You wholly, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Final Thought: You Are Alive by God’s Mercy

    Somebody reading this has:

    • Escaped accidents they didn’t even see coming.
    • Been healed from sicknesses they didn’t know they had.
    • Been protected from enemies they never knew existed.

Never attribute your safety to luck. It’s God’s grace!

“The Lord is your keeper… He will preserve your soul.” (Psalm 121:5,7)

Action Step: Today, take 5 minutes to thank God for His unseen protection over your life.

OPEN HEAVEN 1 MARCH 2025 DEVOTIONAL

    TOPIC: PLEASE GOD

    MEMORISE
When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
    Proverbs 16:7

    READ: 1 Kings 3:3-14

And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.
And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.
In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.
And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.
And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.
    11 And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;
12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
13 And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
14 And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 1 MARCH 2025 MESSAGE

Anytime you please God, He will do something really amazing for you. In 2 Chronicles 1:6-15, Solomon pleased God. He wasn’t pleasing men or trying to get their approval; he wanted to please the God of wonders.

Today, people are still talking about Solomon because of the great things that God did in his life. God prospered him physically – throughout his life, there was no war because God silenced all his enemies (1 Kings 5:4). God also prospered him mentally and materially – his wisdom and riches were so great that God said that no other king will ever be like him. If you read 1 Kings 3:15-28, you will see an example of how God blessed Solomon.

When you please God in your sowing, He will give you multiple wonders so that long after you are gone, your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will still be reaping from the harvest. I pray that God will open the eyes of your understanding to know that harvest is a wonder; all you need to do is sow in such a manner that pleases God and leave the rest to Him. Very soon, the world will come to you and ask why you are so successful.

When a person’s ways please the Lord, He summons forces on earth, in heaven, and underneath the earth to come to that fellow’s aid. As we read in today’s memory verse, even those who do not like the fellow will have no choice but to bless him or her.

When Isaac asked Esau to prepare him venison so that he could eat and bless him before his death, Jacob brought a delicious meal to him, and Isaac began to rain blessings on him because he enjoyed the food so much. Isaac was so pleased that he blessed Jacob with the dew of heaven, the fatness of the earth, plenty of corn and wine, and the gifts of men (Genesis 27:28-29). If an earthly father can bless his son who pleased him with such blessings, how much more our heavenly Father who owns all silver, gold, and the cattle upon a thousand hills (Haggai 2:8, Psalm 50:10)?

When your ways please God, and He blesses you, nobody can hinder your blessings. No human being, demon, witch, or wizard can oppose you when you please God. Abraham was too blessed to be cursed or hindered by any evil power. Beloved, please God in all your ways, and His blessing will rest upon you and your household, in Jesus’ name.

    ACTION POINT

Use the word of God as a standard to check if your ways are pleasing Him.

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

    Deuteronomy 26-27

HYMN 30: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD

OPEN HEAVEN 1 MARCH 2025 COMMENTARY

    1. The Principle of Divine Favor Through Obedience

The Open Heaven devotional for today emphasizes that when we prioritize pleasing God above seeking human approval, He responds with extraordinary blessings. Solomon’s example (2 Chronicles 1:6-15) shows that his heart was set on honoring God rather than pursuing selfish ambition. Because of this, God granted him wisdom, wealth, and peace beyond what any other king had ever experienced (1 Kings 3:13).

    Application:

    • Seek God’s approval first (Matthew 6:33).
    • Live a life of worship and sacrifice (Romans 12:1).
    • Trust that God rewards those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

    2. The Multi-Generational Impact of Pleasing God

A key takeaway is that divine blessings are not just for us but for our descendants. When we sow seeds (of faith, obedience, giving, and service) in a way that pleases God, the harvest extends beyond our lifetime. Just as Solomon’s legacy endured, our faithfulness can bless future generations.

    Application:

    • Sow in faith (Galatians 6:7-9).
    • Live with eternity in mind (Psalm 112:2).
    • Believe that God’s promises are generational (Deuteronomy 7:9).

    3. Supernatural Peace and Victory Over Enemies

Proverbs 16:7 assures us that when we walk in God’s will, He subdues our adversaries. Solomon enjoyed unprecedented peace (1 Kings 5:4) because God fought his battles. Similarly, when Isaac blessed Jacob (Genesis 27:28-29), the blessings were unstoppable—even though Jacob obtained them through unconventional means.

    Application:

    • Trust God to fight your battles (Exodus 14:14).
    • Walk in love and forgiveness (Romans 12:18-21).
    • Declare God’s peace over your life (Numbers 6:24-26).

    4. The Unstoppable Nature of God’s Blessings

When God blesses a person, no force can reverse it (Numbers 23:20). Abraham’s blessings were so powerful that even kings feared him (Genesis 12:3).

The devotional reminds us that witchcraft, envy, and human opposition cannot hinder a God-ordained destiny when we remain in His will.

    Application:

    • Stand firm in faith (Ephesians 6:13).
    • Rebuke fear and doubt (2 Timothy 1:7).
    • Declare God’s promises over your life (Isaiah 54:17).

    5. The Ultimate Reward: A Life That Glorifies God

The greatest wonder of pleasing God is not just material prosperity but a life that reflects His glory. Solomon’s wisdom drew the Queen of Sheba (1 Kings 10:1-9), proving that divine favor attracts divine connections.

    Application:

    • Let your light shine before men (Matthew 5:16).
    • Use your blessings to bless others (Genesis 12:2).
    • Live as an ambassador of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20).

    Prayer Point:

“Father, help me to live a life that pleases You in all things. Let Your favor rest upon me, silence my enemies, and establish a legacy of blessings for generations to come, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

    Final Thought:

Pleasing God is not about perfection but a heart surrendered to Him. When we prioritize His will, He releases supernatural peace, provision, and protection beyond human understanding. As you walk in obedience today, expect divine wonders!

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4)

May this word inspire you to seek God above all else, knowing that He rewards those who diligently serve Him.

    TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING HARVESTS

MEMORISE: While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
    Genesis 8:22

    READ: Mark 4:26-29
    26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 28 FEBRUARY 2025 MESSAGE TODAY

The first thing to understand about harvests is that they ultimately come from God. 1 Corinthians 3:6 says, “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” Also, harvests come in different levels, which Jesus identified as thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and hundredfold (Mark 4:20).

Some Bible scholars believe that a thirtyfold harvest results from giving to the household of faith (Galatians 6:9-10). When you help a fellow Christian, you are sowing into a soil that will bring forth at least thirtyfold. When Dorcas was sowing into the lives of the people in her church, she didn’t know that she would reap a harvest of resurrection. Her seeds were so precious that they sent for Peter to raise her from the dead (Acts 9:36-42).

There are Bible scholars who also believe that you will reap a sixtyfold harvest when you sow to a minister of God (Matthew 10:41). When you do something for your pastor, and he or she says, “God bless you,” your seed will return at least a sixtyfold harvest, just as we see in 1 Kings 17:10-16. The widow of Zarephath and her son had given up on life before she honoured Elijah with their last meal. She experienced a massive turnaround, and throughout the grievous famine, her jar of flour never ran out, and her jug of oil never became empty (1 Kings 17:16). Furthermore, apart from material blessings, when her son died, God brought him back to life (1 Kings 17:17-24).

Some Bible scholars also believe that giving to the high priest will yield a hundredfold harvest.

Hebrews 5:1-4 tells us that the high priest is someone God has chosen to represent men before Him. The highest spiritual authority God has ordained over you is a representative of Jesus Christ, our Great High Priest (Hebrews 4:14-16), and if you give to such a fellow, you can rest assured that God will bless you a hundredfold and more in return.

Where and how you sow your seeds play a significant role in determining the level of harvests you can get from God. You should, however, ensure your sowing is done out of love to honour God and not just because you want a harvest from Him. God wants you to give cheerfully and sacrificially (2 Corinthians 9:7, Mark 12:41-44), and He judges the intent of your heart (I Samuel 16:7). I pray that you will experience bountiful blessings as you honour Him with your giving, in Jesus’ name.

    PRAYER POINT:

Father, I receive a bountiful harvest of every good seed I have sown, in Jesus’ name

    MEMORISE:

    READ: Mark 4:20
20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 27 FEBRUARY 2025 MESSAGE TODAY

Today, I will discuss what it means to sow on good ground. Mark 4:20 tells us that the seeds which fell on good ground brought forth a harvest. This implies that they did not fall by the wayside, they were watered by God, and they were not suffocated by thorns. For you to sow on good ground and reap bountiful harvests, you must do the following:

    1. Honour God with your resources and obey all His principles for financial success.

Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. Proverbs 3:9-10 2. Cheerfully support God’s work financially. Giving towards God’s work can be by supporting a kingdom project, blessing a church, or sowing into the lives of God’s servants.

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:7 3. Give to the poor and the needy. When you stretch out your hands to bless the less privileged, God blesses you in return. Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.

Proverbs 19:17, ESV 4. Be generous. Generosity attracts God’s blessings; whatever you give to others, you will receive in multiple folds.

Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.

Proverbs 19:17, ESV 4. Be generous. Generosity attracts God’s blessings; whatever you give to others, you will receive in multiple folds.

The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

Proverbs 11:25 5. Wait for God’s instructions before making financial decisions. When you seek His face before making decisions, He will guide you along the right path, but those who hastily make deals or investments without seeking God get their fingers burnt.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 Beloved, if you have been sowing your seeds by the wayside, on stony ground, or among thorns, the good news is that if you change your ways and start living by the principles above, you will experience the harvest that comes from sowing on good ground. I pray that the Lord will restore all that you may have lost from sowing wrongly, and your seeds will produce great harvests from now, in Jesus’ name

    REFLECTION:

Have you been sowing on good ground?

    TOPIC: THE THORNY GROUND

    MEMORISE:
And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
    Mark 4:7

    READ: Mark 4:18-19
18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 26 FEBRUARY 2025 MESSAGE TODAY

Today, I will continue my discussion on the different kinds of soils by examining thorny grounds. Thorns are dangerous, and they choke everything they come in contact with.

When people lead lifestyles that drain them financially because they want to show off, they are sowing on thorny ground. For example, such people may rent apartments that their income can hardly sustain, buy expensive clothes and jewellery that they cannot afford and get into unnecessary debt just to sustain their fake lifestyles.

When you live an extravagant life, you are putting your money in thorny ground. An adage says, ‘Cut your coat according to your cloth. Beloved, you must learn to live within your means and not make lifestyle decisions based on resources you do not have – some people fall into this trap because of their circle of friends. The Scripture says that blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly (Psalm 1:1). If you have friends who spend lavishly without counting the cost, you might follow suit and end up in debt.

Thorns can also refer to things that cause pockets to have holes. When the Israelites returned from exile in Babylon, they started building the temple, and at some point, they stopped and concentrated only on building their houses and empires. Haggai rebuked them for becoming sel fcentred and neglecting God’s house, telling them that they will never be satisfied with the things they have because of their attitude (Haggai 1:4-6).

God will not release His wisdom for financial abundance to those who will consume the wealth He gives them on their lusts. If all you care about is yourself, you are filling your ground with thorns because selfishness chokes God’s blessings upon a man’s life. Many people pray and fast for financial breakthroughs; however, few receive financial wisdom for such breakthroughs because God cannot trust them not to waste the wealth He gives them on their lusts. Can God trust you to continue to put Him first after He has blessed you financially? Will you still care for His kingdom when you arrive at your desired financial destination?

Beloved, ask the Lord to remove any attitude that tends to choke His blessings in your life and promise Him that you will always put Him first so that He can pour His blessings on you.

    PRAYER POINT:

Father, search my heart and take away every thorny attitude that will keep me from accessing your wisdom for financial abundance, in Jesus’ name.
