TOPIC: YOU CAN BE FILLED WITH MORE III

    MEMORISE:

Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
    Psalms 42:7

    READ: Acts 4:31-33

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 20 AUGUST 2025 TODAY MESSAGE

Today, I will conclude this series by discussing pressure. The pressure in tyres varies with the weights they are designed to support. For example, the pressure in the tyre of a bicycle differs from that of a car. Both tyres are filled with air, but more air is pumped into a car’s tyre than into a bicycle’s tyre. This is because the weight that the tyre of a car supports is more than what the tyre of a bicycle supports.

The tyres of an aeroplane are just about the same size as those of a large truck; however, the pressure inside them is different. This is because an aeroplane is much heavier, and when it lands, its tyres must be able to withstand its weight. If the air pressure in an aeroplane’s tyre is lowered to that of a truck, the plane will crash as it lands.

How much you want to accomplish for God will determine how much of His anointing you will seek to be filled with. This is not about titles now, but about the real impact you want to have for God in the earth. The things a believer will accomplish for God are not dependent on church titles. Some bishops cannot deliver a small town from the devil’s hands, whereas some believers without any title can turn an entire country upside down for God. When it comes to accomplishing great and mighty things in God’s kingdom, what really matters is how much of the anointing a believer carries. God cannot perform mighty miracles or deliver communities and countries from powerful dark forces through believers who only carry low levels of the anointing.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John 14:12

If you want to perform greater works as Jesus said, then you must be filled with the anointing to a very great degree. How much you want to accomplish in God’s kingdom should determine how much of the anointing you seek to be filled with.

Beloved, seek to be full of the anointing so that you can cause mighty revivals in your fields of operation, community, nation, and all around the world, just like Jesus, who went about doing good with the anointing.

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
    Acts 10:38

I pray that God will fill you with more of His anointing so you can influence the world with the gospel and take many territories for His kingdom. in Jesus’ name

OPEN HEAVEN 20 AUGUST KEY POINT

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

    Jeremiah 50

HYMN 20: STAND UP! STAND UP FOR JESUS

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 20 AUGUST 2025 COMMENTARY

    MEMORISE: Psalms 42:7

“Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.”
This verse reveals God’s pressure principle—divine assignments require corresponding spiritual depths to sustain them.

    BIBLE READING: Acts 4:31-33

This passage demonstrates anointing under pressure:

    1. v.31Building pressure (persecution intensifies prayer)
    2. v.33Explosive results (“great power” matched “great grace”)

    The Physics of Spiritual Pressure

Daddy Adeboye’s analogy unveils four kingdom laws of anointing capacity:

    1. The Tyre Principle

    VehiclePressure (PSI)Spiritual Equivalent
    Bicycle30-50 PSIPersonal salvation experience
    Car32-35 PSILocal church ministry
    Truck50-80 PSIRegional impact
    Jet200+ PSIGlobal apostolic assignment

    Key Insight:
Your “pressure level” determines what weights you can carry without bursting (Matthew 11:30).

    2. Title vs. Anointing Contrast

    • Empty Titles:
      • Bishops who can’t deliver a village (Acts 19:13-16)
      • All form, no power (2 Timothy 3:5)
    • Untitled Powerhouses:
      • Smith Wigglesworth (plumber turned apostle)
      • Evan Roberts (coal miner who ignited Welsh Revival)

    3. Jesus’ Pressure Model (Acts 10:38)

    • Divine Equation:
Anointing (“Holy Ghost and power”) + Obedience (“went about”) = Total Dominion (“healing all”)

    4. The Greater Works Paradox (John 14:12)

    • Precondition: “Because I go to My Father” (Pentecostal outpouring)
    • Modern Fulfillment:
      • Global digital evangelism (Revelation 14:6)
      • Mass deliverance crusades (Mark 16:17-18)

How to Increase Your Spiritual PSI

    1. Calculate Your Kingdom Load

    • Ask:
      • Is my current anointing sufficient for my vision?
      • What “weight” is God calling me to carry? (Nation? Industry? Generation?)

    2. The Pressure-Increase Protocol

    1. Daily:
      • 5 AM warfare prayer (Ephesians 6:12)
      • 30 mins prophetic declarations over your assignment
    2. Weekly:
      • 24-hour fast for enlarged capacity
    3. Monthly:
      • Spiritual “pressure test” (attempt something beyond your current ability)

    3. Build a Jet-Level Prayer Life

    • Bicycle prayers: “Bless me”
    • Jet prayers: “Shake nations through me” (Acts 4:29-31)
    • Upgrade Strategy:
      • Replace 50% of personal petitions with kingdom-sized requests

    Prayer for Apostolic Pressure

“Father, pump me full of Your pneumatic power! Where I’ve been riding spiritual bicycles, equip me for jet-propelled ministry. Let my inner pressure match the weights You’ve called me to carry, until cities tremble at Your glory through me, in Jesus’ name!”

    Action Steps

    1. Conduct a Pressure Audit:
      • List 3 areas where your current anointing feels inadequate
      • For each: Identify 1 Scripture to “inflate” your faith (e.g., Jeremiah 20:11)
    2. Study Pressure Pioneers:
      • Research lives of:
        • John G. Lake (healed entire cities)
        • Maria Woodworth-Etter (mass trances and miracles)
    3. Create a “PSI Increase” Playlist:
      • Worship songs that stir apostolic hunger (e.g., “Send Your Rain”)

    Conclusion: Designed for Divine Loads

Daddy Adeboye’s life proves: God never calls without enabling.

“Your spiritual pressure isn’t about stress—it’s about capacity to carry glory. The world isn’t waiting for another comfortable Christian, but for pressurized believers who’ll explode with kingdom power!”

TOPIC: YOU CAN BE FILLED WITH MORE Il

    MEMORISE:

And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
    2 Kings 4:6

    READ: 2 Kings 4:1-6

1 Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.
2 And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.
3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.

4 And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
5 So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.
6 And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 19 AUGUST 2025 TODAY MESSAGE

Today, I will continue my discussion about being filled with the anointing in various levels and degrees. The fact that a believer’s spiritual battery is very full today does not mean that it cannot still be fuller. There is actually no limit to how full your spiritual battery can be. 1 Corinthians 12:31 says that you should covet earnestly the best gifts. You must be very covetous when it comes to being filled with the anointing.

When you read 2 Kings 1:9-12, where Elijah called down fire to burn two sets of soldiers when they came to arrest him, you will know that he was full of the anointing. However, by the time you get to 2 Kings 2:9-15, Elisha told Elijah, “I want more than you have, sir.” Elijah was so full of the anointing that he could call down fire from heaven any time he wanted and shut the heavens so it would not rain for more than three years, yet Elisha wanted a double portion of that same spirit – and he got it! You also can receive more of the anointing than your spiritual leaders.

Beloved, you can be filled with the anointing to higher and higher degrees. Colossians 2:9 tells us that the fullness of the Godhead dwelt in Jesus. Jesus was really full of the Holy Spirit, yet He constantly separated Himself to get more of the anointing (Matthew 14:23).

Anytime He performed a special miracle, He would quickly separate Himself to get more.

The One who carried the fullness of the Godhead bodily constantly went apart to get more and more. One of the major reasons many ministers of God rise and fall is that as soon as they get to a certain height, they stop getting filled. They stop studying their Bibles like before and reduce their prayer times because they now have busy schedules.

Every athlete knows that he or she must work hard to become a champion. However, to remain a champion, he or she must work even harder. This is the secret to continuous growth in God.

As long as you remain thirsty for more, God will pour more into you. When Elisha told the woman in today’s Bible reading to borrow vessels, the oil kept pouring as long as there were empty vessels remaining. The more you yield to God, the more He will pour His anointing into you and make you a wonder to the world.

OPEN HEAVEN 19 AUGUST PRAYER POINT

Father, please fill me more and mor e with Your anointing every day.

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

    Jeremiah 49

HYMN 26: THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 19 AUGUST 2025 COMMENTARY

    MEMORISE: 2 Kings 4:6

“And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.”
This verse reveals God’s filling principle—His anointing flows until we stop providing capacity. There is always more available for those who remain hungry.

    BIBLE READING: 2 Kings 4:1-6

The widow’s miracle teaches three keys to unlimited anointing:

    1. v.2Obedience (“What hast thou in the house?”)
    2. v.3Preparation (“Borrow not a few” vessels)
    3. v.6Continuation (Oil flowed as long as vessels were empty)

The Unlimited Capacity for More of God

Daddy Adeboye’s message dismantles spiritual complacency through four explosive truths:

    1. The Elisha Paradigm (2 Kings 2:9)

    • Bold Request: “Double portion of your spirit!”
    • Radical Outcome:
      • Elijah’s mantle parted Jordan (2 Kings 2:8) → Elisha did it twice (2:14)
      • Elijah performed 7 recorded miracles → Elisha did 14+

    2. Jesus’ Refilling Pattern (Matthew 14:23)

    • Fullness (Colossians 2:9) + Constant Withdrawal = Sustained Miracles
    • Modern Application:
      • After preaching to thousands → Nights alone with God
      • Before raising Lazarus → Prayed first (John 11:41-42)

    3. The Oil Principle (2 Kings 4:1-6)

    Natural OilSpiritual Anointing
Stopped when vessels were fullFlows endlessly for the hungry
Limited by container sizeLimited only by our capacity
    Required empty vesselsRequires surrendered lives

    4. The Athlete’s Secret (1 Corinthians 9:25-27)

    • To Win: Train intensely
    • To Keep Winning: Train more intensely
    • Spiritual Parallel:
      • New converts pray 1 hour → Mature believers pray 3+ hours
      • Beginners fast occasionally → Fathers fast weekly

How to Expand Your Anointing Capacity

    1. The “Not a Few” Challenge

    • Identify Your “Vessels”:
      • Time: Add 30 mins to daily prayer
      • Hunger: Fast 1 extra day monthly
      • Word: Memorize 2 verses weekly (not 1)

    2. Create a “More of God” Plan

    1. Monthly: Attend 1 extra prayer meeting
    2. Quarterly: 3-day personal retreat
    3. Annually: Study 1 additional Bible book deeply

    3. Break Complacency Barriers

    • When you see signs of satisfaction:
      • “I’ve arrived” thoughts → Read Philippians 3:12-14
      • Reduced prayer time → Double it immediately
      • Pride in achievements → Fast with Psalm 115:1

    Prayer for Unlimited Anointing

“Father, give me Elisha’s hunger! Where I’ve settled for ankle-deep anointing, drag me into fathomless depths. Multiply my vessels, break my limits, and let Your oil flow until You say ‘Enough!’ in Jesus’ name!”

    Action Steps

    1. Conduct a “Vessel Audit”:
      • List 3 areas where you’ve become spiritually complacent
      • For each: Set 1 aggressive growth goal
    2. Study Elisha’s 14 Miracles:
      • Note how each surpassed Elijah’s works
      • Pray for double portion in your calling
    3. Anoint Your Space:
      • Use oil to dedicate your:
        • Prayer closet
        • Workplace
        • Vehicle
      • Declare: “This is a vessel for unlimited oil!”

Conclusion: Your Ceiling is God’s Floor

Daddy Adeboye’s life shouts: There’s no maximum capacity in God’s kingdom!

“Elijah’s fire was mighty, but Elisha’s was mightier. Your mentors’ anointing is just the starting line—God waits to double your portion when you dare to ask!”

He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.
    Luke 1:53

    READ: Ezekiel 47:1-5

1 Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
2 Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.
3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.

4 Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.
5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 18 AUGUST 2025 TODAY MESSAGE

For a few days now, I have been discussing being filled with the anointing. Today, I will discuss the degrees to which you can be filled with the anointing and how charged your spiritual battery can be. As Christians, we all have the Holy Spirit, but one fellow can be filled with the anointing to a higher degree than another. This is why different Christians have different levels of authority in the Spirit.

To fully understand how a Christian can be filled with more of the anointing than others, I’ll discuss demonic possession first because demons are spirits.

In Mark 1:23- 24, the man Jesus found in the synagogue had only one unclean spirit – one demon is enough to cause so much havoc.

In Luke 8:1-3, Mary Magdalene was said to have been delivered from seven demons; therefore, a man with one demon is possessed, and a fellow with seven is more possessed. When you read Matthew 12:43-45, you will see that if someone has one demon to start with, he or she could end up with eight because Jesus said that if an unclean spirit goes out of a person, it goes about looking for where to rest. If it can’t find any, it will return to its former house; if it finds the place empty, it will invite seven other demons inside to live with it such that the state of the possessed person will become worse. Also, when you read Mark 5:1-15, you will see the enormous capacity of the human soul to absorb spirits.

The madman of Gadara had a legion of demons, which Bible scholars say is equivalent to as many as 6,000 demons. If a man can have 6,000 demons, then there is enough space in you to also absorb quite a lot of the anointing.

Today’s Bible reading shows us that it is possible for a Christian to go deeper and deeper in God. There is always more in God for those who remain spiritually hungry. For every thousand cubits travelled in the spirit, there is still a lot more distance that can be covered. For every spiritual height attained, there is still much more that can be attained.

This is why you must remain hungry because God only fills and satisfies hungry people (Matthew 5:6, Isaiah 44:3). I pray that God will fill you with more and more of His anointing every day, in Jesus’ name.

OPEN HEAVEN 18 AUGUST KEY POINT

No matter how much of the anointing you carry, you will always have room for more.

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

    Jeremiah 47-48

HYMN 8: I Need Thee Every Hour

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 18 AUGUST 2025 COMMENTARY

    MEMORISE: Luke 1:53

“He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich He hath sent empty away.”
This verse reveals God’s filling principle—spiritual hunger attracts divine overflow, while self-sufficiency blocks it.

    BIBLE READING: Ezekiel 47:1-5

The prophet’s vision illustrates four levels of anointing depth:

    1. Ankle-deep (v.3): Basic salvation experience
    2. Knee-deep (v.4a): Prayer life developing
    3. Loin-deep (v.4b): Character transformation
    4. Waters to swim in (v.5): Full immersion in God’s power

Degrees of Anointing: From Drops to Oceans

Daddy Adeboye’s teaching contrasts demonic possession with divine infilling to reveal our spiritual capacity:

    1. The Demonic Capacity Scale

    LevelScriptureManifestation
1 DemonMark 1:23-24Disruptive but limited influence
    7 DemonsLuke 8:2Complete personality control
    Legion (6,000+)Mark 5:9Superhuman strength, extreme self-harm

    Key Insight:
If humans can host thousands of demons, how much more Holy Spirit can we contain? (Ephesians 3:19)

    2. The Anointing Depth Chart

    1. Ankle-Level Believers:
      • Saved but carnal (1 Corinthians 3:1)
      • Minimal spiritual authority
    2. Knee-Level Intercessors:
      • Regular prayer life
      • Occasional miracles
    3. Loin-Level Warriors:
      • Strong character + gifts
      • Consistent supernatural manifestations
    4. Swimming-Level Apostles:
      • Walk in constant miracles (Acts 5:15-16)
      • Carry transferable anointing (like Daddy Adeboye’s pulpit)

    3. The Hunger Factor (Matthew 5:6)

    • Natural Law:
      • Full stomach → No appetite
      • Empty stomach → Hunger pains
    • Spiritual Parallel:
      • Complacency → Anointing plateaus
      • Holy Dissatisfaction → Fresh outpourings

    How to Dive Deeper

    1. Conduct a Spiritual Depth Check

    • Ask Yourself:
      • When did I last see a undeniable miracle through me?
      • Do sinners feel conviction just being near me?
      • Does my shadow carry healing? (Acts 5:15)

    2. The 30-Day Deeper Challenge

    1. 5 AM Prayer: 1 hour daily (Mark 1:35)
    2. Scripture Bombardment: 10 chapters/day
    3. Radical Obedience: Immediately act on divine nudges

    3. Create “Anointing Accelerators”

    • Sacrificial Giving: Sow into revival causes
    • Holy Violence: “Take it by force” attitude (Matthew 11:12)
    • Fire Fellowship: Join/addicted to a prayer company

    Prayer for Exponential Anointing

“Father, make me addicted to Your presence! Where I’ve been wading in ankle-deep religion, drag me into the deep waters of Your glory. Let my hunger scare demons and attract heaven’s attention, in Jesus’ name!”

    Action Steps

    1. Anointing Journal:
      • Record daily Holy Spirit encounters
      • Note increasing spiritual authority
    2. Demolish Complacency:
      • Fast 1 meal weekly with this prayer:
“Lord, make me desperate for more!”
    3. Seek Fire Carriers:
      • Identify and follow 3 people operating at your next level

    Conclusion: Your Capacity is Unlimited

Daddy Adeboye’s life proves: The same vessel that can hold 6,000 demons can host tsunamis of God’s glory.

“Don’t settle for ankle-deep Christianity when God offers oceans. Dive in—the deeper you go, the more drowns in you!”

    TOPIC: ALWAYS REFILL VII

    MEMORISE:

For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
    John 6:55

    READ: 1 Corinthians 11:26-34

26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
33 Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
34 And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 17 AUGUST 2025 TODAY MESSAGE

As I conclude this series, I want you to know that you can also be refilled spiritually through the Holy Communion. In John 6:48-51, Jesus said, “If you eat My flesh, you are eating the bread of life.” In other words, He was saying,

“The bread of life is My body.” When you eat the body of Christ, you are eating a body that is full of virtue and the anointing of the Holy Spirit; you are taking all that virtue into yourself. If you take the Holy Communion worthily, there is no way your spiritual battery won’t be recharged. When the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, He said that virtue had gone out of Him (Mark 5:25-34). When you eat the bread, you are eating virtue because it symbolises the body of Christ.

The wine of the Holy Communion, which symbolises the blood of Jesus, contains the very life of Jesus (Leviticus 17:11). Colossians 2:9 says, “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” Therefore, taking His life into you by drinking the wine of the Holy Communion is taking in the fullness of the Godhead into yourself, provided you drink the wine worthily.

In ancient Yorubaland, if traditional medicine men were consulted to heal people who were really sick and were at the point of death, they would usually ask the relatives of the dying fellow to bring his or her clothes and an effigy that represents him or her, among some other things. They would then wear the fellow’s clothes on the effigy and take it to the centre of the town very late at night. If someone else sees the effigy as he or she is passing by, the sick fellow would live, and the one who saw the effigy will die. The elders would say that the life of the fellow who came out at night to see what he or she shouldn’t have seen has been substituted for the life of the dying fellow. This is an attempt of the devil to copy God’s principle of substitution.

Beloved, when you take the Holy Communion worthily, your weaknesses are taken away, and you receive the strength of Christ. You receive His life and substitute all your weaknesses for His unending, limitless power. BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

    Jeremiah 44-46

    HYMN 10: IN CHRIST ALONE

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 17 AUGUST 2025 COMMENTARY

    MEMORISE: John 6:55

“For My flesh is meat indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.”
This verse reveals Holy Communion as supernatural nourishment—not symbolic ritual but actual spiritual sustenance from Christ’s divine life.

    BIBLE READING: 1 Corinthians 11:26-34

    Paul’s warning highlights:

    1. v.27Seriousness (“not discerning the Lord’s body” brings judgment)
    2. v.28-29Self-examination required before partaking
    3. v.30Consequences of unworthy communion (weakness, sickness, death)
    4. v.31-32Corrective purpose of God’s discipline

    Holy Communion as Divine Recharge

Daddy Adeboye’s teaching unveils four dimensions of Communion’s power:

    1. The Virtue Transfer (Mark 5:30)

    • Bread (Body):
      • Carries Christ’s miraculous virtue (healing, strength)
      • Modern parallel: Like “charging” a phone with power from a source
    • Wine (Blood):
      • Transfuses Christ’s resurrection life (John 6:53)
      • Scientific analogy: Spiritual stem cells renewing your being

    2. The Substitution Principle

    Before CommunionAfter Communion
Your weaknessHis strength (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Your sicknessHis health (1 Peter 2:24)
Your mortalityHis eternal life (John 6:58)

    Yoruba Example:

    • Devil’s counterfeit (effigy ritual) vs.
    • God’s true exchange (Christ’s body/blood)

    3. Frequency Matters

    • Early Church Practice: “Breaking bread daily” (Acts 2:46)
    • Modern Application:
      • Minimum: Monthly (as your church observes)
      • Optimal: Weekly private Communion (with prayer/worship)

    4. Worthy Partaking (1 Corinthians 11:28)

    • 3-Step Preparation:
      1. Repentance: Confess known sins (1 John 1:9)
      2. Reconciliation: Make amends (Matthew 5:23-24)
      3. Faith: Expect divine infusion (Mark 11:24)

    How to Maximize Communion’s Power

    1. Create a Communion Sanctuary

    • At home: Dedicate a small table with:
      • Unleavened bread/wafers
      • Grape juice (in a special cup)
      • Worship music ready

    2. The 7-Minute Miracle

    1. Minute 1-2: Confess Psalm 51:7-12
    2. Minute 3-4: Worship with “Nothing But the Blood”
    3. Minute 5: Eat the bread—claim healing (Isaiah 53:5)
    4. Minute 6: Drink the cup—declare new life (John 6:54)
    5. Minute 7: Pray in tongues (Jude 1:20)

    3. Post-Communion Actions

    • Rest 15 mins (like Elijah after angelic meal – 1 Kings 19:6)
    • Journal physical/spiritual sensations

    Prayer for Communion Breakthrough

“Jesus, as I receive Your body and blood, transplant Your divine DNA into me! Let every cell of my being reject sickness, every thought bow to Your wisdom, and every weakness explode with Your strength. Make this Communion my spiritual defibrillator, in Your mighty name!”

    Action Steps

    1. Next Communion Service:
      • Arrive 30 mins early to prepare your heart
      • Bring a small notebook to record impressions
    2. Home Communion Kit:
      • Purchase unleavened bread & red grape juice
      • Set phone reminder for weekly private observance
    3. Testimony Tracking:
      • Note one change within 24 hours after Communion
        (e.g., unusual energy, sudden healing)

    Conclusion: Your Regular Divine Transfusion

Daddy Adeboye’s revelation confirms: Communion isn’t tradition—it’s your covenant lifeline.

“Just as regular blood transfusions sustain natural life, frequent Holy Communion sustains resurrection life in you.”

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.
    Jude 1:20

    READ: 1 Corinthians 2:10-16

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 15 AUGUST 2025 TODAY MESSAGE

Over the past two days, I have discussed God’s word and worship as ways to recharge your spiritual battery. Today, I will talk about another powerful way you can recharge your spiritual battery: praying in the Spirit.

If you want to talk to a man, you will connect better with him when you speak his language.

The way to connect seamlessly with God is to talk to Him in His language: praying in the Spirit. I discovered early in ministry that if I spend time with God in secret, He will spend time with me in the open. If I wait upon Him before any programme, then He will show up!

For example, whenever I’m preparing for the Holy Ghost Service, I make sure that I spend at least three days locked up with Him alone – away from my wife and children. I would wait on Him, praising Him and seeking His face for the programme ahead because Isaiah 40:31 says,
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

I would spend time recharging my spiritual battery by praying in the Spirit. After I have spent many hours with Him, day and night, even before I start preaching many times, He begins to work miracles.

Praying in the Spirit charges you up and helps you to remain on fire for God. Flies don’t like hot stoves. When a stove is cold, you’ll see them playing around it. However, when the stove is turned on, it becomes unapproachable for them. They won’t come near it because they can’t stand fire. When you pray in the Holy Ghost, you are setting yourself on fire, and anything linked with darkness cannot stay around you.

When you pray in the Spirit, you become energised, and this increases your spiritual fervency and sensitivity. As you pray in the Holy Ghost, you access mysteries in God’s heart because only the Holy Spirit knows the mysteries of God. Today’s Bible reading tells us that through the Holy Spirit, we can know the things that have been freely given to us; praying in the Spirit brings us to the understanding of these things. These mysteries will help you to stay spiritually charged up for God.

Beloved, make a habit of praying in the Spirit, and if you are born again but cannot pray in the Spirit, ask God for the gift today.

HYMN 22: SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 16 AUGUST 2025 COMMENTARY

    MEMORISE: Jude 1:20

“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.”
This verse reveals praying in the Spirit as God’s divine mechanism for self-edification and spiritual fortification.

    BIBLE READING: 1 Corinthians 2:10-16

This passage unveils three supernatural benefits of Spirit-led prayer:

    1. v.10Revelation access (“the Spirit searches all things”)
    2. v.11Divine intimacy (“knows the things of God”)
    3. v.14-15Spiritual discernment (“judges all things”)

The Power of Praying in the Spirit

Daddy Adeboye’s teaching highlights four transformative effects of praying in tongues:

    1. Divine Recharge System (Isaiah 40:31)

    • Daddy Adeboye’s Pre-Crusade Pattern:
      • 3-day isolation → Hours in tongues → Open miracles
    • Scientific Parallel:
      • Like lithium batteries needing full cycles to avoid “memory effect”
      • Spiritual batteries require deep discharge/recharge cycles through tongues

    2. Spiritual Firewall (1 Corinthians 14:2)

    Natural PrayerPraying in Tongues
Limited to human understandingDirect line to God’s throne
Vulnerable to distractionsSatan cannot decipher (Romans 8:26)
    Earth-bound petitionsDownloads heavenly strategies

    3. Mystery Decoder (1 Corinthians 2:10)

    • How It Works:
      1. Pray in tongues for 20+ mins
      2. Sudden divine ideas emerge (business solutions, family breakthroughs)
      3. Scriptures come alive with new revelation

    4. Demon Repellent (Acts 16:16-18)

    • Daddy Adeboye’s Stove Analogy:
      • Cold believer = Flies of temptation land freely
      • Tongues-fired believer = Demonic flies can’t tolerate the heat

    How to Maximize Tongues Prayer

    1. The 21-Day Ignition Challenge

    • Daily Practice:
      • Morning: 15 mins uninterrupted tongues
      • Night: 10 mins before sleep
    • Expected Results:
      • Increased dream clarity
      • Heightened spiritual discernment

    2. Tongues + Scripture Fusion

    1. Read 1 Bible chapter
    2. Pray in tongues for 5 mins on that passage
    3. Journal fresh insights

    3. Create “Tongues Triggers”

    • When you feel:
      • Angry → 2 mins tongues (cool down)
      • Confused → 5 mins tongues (download wisdom)
      • Tempted → 1 min tongues (firewall activation)

    Prayer for Tongues Empowerment

“Father, baptize me in Your liquid fire! Where I’ve prayed only with my mind, give me heaven’s language. Let my tongue become Your lightning rod—conducting miracles, revelations, and deliverances, in Jesus’ name!”

    Action Steps

    1. Tongues Timer: Use phone stopwatch—build from 5 mins to 30 mins daily
    2. Tongues Journal: Record one spiritual insight after each session
    3. Accountability Partner: Find someone to practice tongues prayer with weekly

    Conclusion: Your Divine Power Grid

Daddy Adeboye’s life proves: Tongues aren’t just a Pentecostal gift—they’re every believer’s warfare necessity.

“A day without tongues is like a phone on 1%—functional but fragile. Charge up daily!”

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 15 AUGUST 2025 TODAY MESSAGE

Yesterday, I started a discussion about how important it is for you to recharge your spiritual battery by studying, memorising, and meditating on the word of God. Today, I’ll discuss worship as another way you can recharge your spiritual battery.

Many people allow the choir to do the worshipping for them in church during services. I thank God for all the spirit-filled choristers around the world who lead powerful praise and worship sessions, but they cannot worship God on your behalf. You must learn to worship God yourself.

In Ephesians 5:18-19, Apostle Paul says:
    And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

The above Scripture implies that you should sing very often, even in your conversations with other people. Paul specifically says that you should sing hymns because they are inspired by the Holy Spirit. I thank God for the songs and choruses that we have today, but most of them fade with time. Many hymns, however, have stood the test of time; a lot of them were written hundreds of years ago, but they remain evergreen.

In today’s Bible reading, Jesus said that God is a Spirit, and those who worship Him must do so in spirit and in truth because the Father seeks such people to worship Him. When you are a worshipper, the Holy Spirit will seek you out.

Worship means reverencing someone or something. When you worship God, you revere Him; you place Him in the highest position in your life. Everyone on earth is a worshipper; people worship one thing or the other. The way to know what a fellow worships is to check what he or she holds in high esteem. For instance, when people cannot do without checking their phones or scrolling through them, such phones have become objects of worship. When someone can do anything for money, that fellow is worshipping money.

Worship also means submission. You submit to whomever or whatever you worship. When you worship God, you are submitting and surrendering your heart to Him so that He can fill it with His power and glory. When you submit to God, He comes and dwells in you.

Beloved, make singing praises to God and worshipping Him your lifestyle. When you engage in these spiritual acts constantly, He will fill you with His Spirit and keep your spiritual battery charged at all times.

OPEN HEAVEN 15 AUGUST PRAYER POINT

Spend some time worshipping God for His greatness, faithfulness, and mercy every day.

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

    Jeremiah 37-39

HYMN 17: PRAISE MY SOUL THE KING OF HEAVEN

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 15 AUGUST 2025 COMMENTARY

    MEMORISE: Psalms 96:9

“O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before Him, all the earth.”
This verse reveals true worship as both adoration (beauty) and reverence (fear)—a divine encounter that transforms the worshiper.

    BIBLE READING: John 4:23-24

    Jesus’ words define authentic worship:

    1. v.23Spirit-empowered (“in spirit”)
    2. v.24Truth-anchored (“in truth”)
    3. Divine Priority: The Father actively seeks such worshipers

    Worship as Spiritual Recharge

Daddy Adeboye’s teaching unveils four dimensions of worship as a refilling conduit:

    1. Personal Worship vs. Delegated Praise

    Choir’s RoleYour Responsibility
Leads corporate worshipMust engage personally (Psalm 34:1)
Ministers through musicYour life as continuous worship (Romans 12:1)
    Can inspireCannot substitute your devotion

    Key Example:

    • David danced personally before the Ark (2 Samuel 6:14)—no proxy worship

    2. The Hymn Advantage (Ephesians 5:19)

    • Why Hymns?
      • Theological depth: “A Mighty Fortress” declares God’s sovereignty
      • Generational legacy: Connect to centuries of saints
      • Spiritual warfare: Many hymns were birthed in crises (e.g., “It Is Well” after Horatio Spafford’s tragedy)

    3. Worship as Submission

    • Modern Idolatry Test:
      • Phone addiction = Digital worship
      • Workaholism = Career worship
    • True Worship:
      • Surrenders control (James 4:7)
      • Invades daily routines (e.g., singing while cooking, driving)

How to Cultivate a Worship Lifestyle

    1. The 3-S Worship Model

    1. Scheduled:
      • 15 mins morning worship (Psalm 59:16)
      • 5 mins “commute praise” (car/bus worship)
    2. Spontaneous:
      • Whisper hymns during work breaks
    3. Sacrificial:
      • Worship especially when feeling low (Habakkuk 3:17-18)

    2. Create a “Warfare Worship” Playlist

    • 5 hymns for spiritual battles (e.g., “Rock of Ages,” “Holy Holy Holy”)
    • Play during:
      • Temptation attacks
      • Anxiety moments

    3. Practice “Eyes-Open Worship”

    • Worship while working: Sing silently in your heart (Colossians 3:23)
    • Transform chores into altars (e.g., mopping = “Wash me, Lord”)

    Prayer for a Worshiper’s Heart

*”Father, break my worship lethargy! Make me a 24/7 worshiper—not just in church aisles but in traffic jams, office cubicles, and kitchen sinks. Let my life become a perpetual love song to You, in Jesus’ name!”*

    Action Steps

    1. Hymn Memorization: Learn 1 stanza weekly (start with “Be Thou My Vision”)
    2. Worship Journal: Record divine encounters during praise sessions
    3. Idolatry Audit: List 3 things competing with God for worship—fast from 1 this week

    Conclusion: The Worshiper’s Reward

Daddy Adeboye’s life demonstrates: Those God seeks (John 4:23) become vessels He fills.

“Your worship isn’t about perfect pitch—it’s about postured surrender. When you empty yourself in praise, God fills you with power.”

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 14 AUGUST 2025 TODAY MESSAGE

Over the past three days, I discussed the importance of always getting refilled with the anointing. Today and in the next few days, I will discuss ways by which believers can be refilled.

As God’s child, you must ensure that your spiritual fervency and passion for the things of God do not reduce. The word of God is a potent tool for recharging your spiritual battery, and this is why you must spend quality time studying, memorising, and meditating on the Scriptures daily.

Nowadays, many Christians do not memorise Scriptures because everything is now digital. If someone needs to refer to a Bible passage, the fellow can just search for it through Google and other search engines. Once the fellow types a bit of the verse as a search term, immediately, the passage comes up on the screen. While digitisation is good, it is important to meditate on Scriptures and know some of them by heart, as this will prepare you to face anything the enemy brings your way.

In Matthew 4:1-11, Jesus overcame the devil’s temptations by quoting Scriptures. There were no search engines at that time, and He didn’t need them – He knew God’s word by heart because He had meditated on them and memorised them. My Father in the Lord wasn’t formally educated, yet he knew a lot of Scriptures by heart. If he could memorise the Scriptures, so can you.

In John 6:63, Jesus said that the words He speaks to us are spirit and life. Therefore, the more of His words you take in, the more spirit-filled you will be. God’s word is powerful; it is alive and sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). As you fill yourself with His word, He will show you things, relationships, and places that can quickly drain your spiritual battery and puncture your faith.

One way to know if you are really filled with God’s word is to check your conversations.

Matthew 12:34 says that it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks. If your heart is filled with God’s word, your mouth will be filled with His word too. The more you study God’s word, the more like Him you will become (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Beloved, become addicted to studying, memorising, and meditating on God’s word and you will be spiritually vibrant at all times. I pray that you will never lose your fervency and passion for the things of God, in Jesus’ name.

    REFLECTION

How often do you study, memorise, and meditate on God’s word?

    HYMN 3: ANCIENT WORDS

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 14 AUGUST 2025 COMMENTARY

    MEMORISE: Colossians 3:16

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
This verse reveals Scripture saturation as God’s prescribed method for continuous spiritual refilling—not occasional study but rich indwelling that transforms speech and conduct.

    BIBLE READING: Joshua 1:6-9

God’s charge to Joshua unveils four dimensions of word-based empowerment:

    1. v.6-7Courage (“Be strong… observe to do according to all the law”)
    2. v.8aMeditation (“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth”)
    3. v.8bObedience (“That thou mayest observe to do…”)
    4. v.9Fearlessness (“The LORD thy God is with thee”)

The Word as Your Refilling Station

Daddy Adeboye’s teaching presents three transformative practices for spiritual recharge:

    1. Digital Dependence vs. Heart Storage

    Digital ChristianityWord-Saturated Believer
Google searches versesRecites Scriptures from memory (Psalm 119:11)
    Surface-level readingChews Scripture day/night (Joshua 1:8)
Easily shaken in crisisStands firm like Jesus (Matthew 4:4-10)

    Key Example:

    • Jesus in the wilderness: Quoted Deuteronomy from memory—no Bible apps needed

    2. The Word’s Transformative Power

    • Spiritual DNA Rewrite:
      • Input: Daily Scripture intake → Output: Christlike speech (Matthew 12:34)
      • Process: Meditation changes what you see (Psalm 119:18) and who you become (2 Corinthians 3:18)

    3. Life-Giving Nutrition (John 6:63)

    • Not just information but Spirit-empowered revelation:
      • Weakness? Feed on Isaiah 40:31
      • Fear? Digest Joshua 1:9
      • Sin? Apply Psalm 119:9

    How to Stay Word-Filled

    1. The 3-M Diet (Joshua 1:8)

    • Memorize: 1 verse weekly (start with Colossians 3:16)
    • Mutter: Speak it aloud during idle moments (Deuteronomy 6:7)
    • Meditate: Ask:
      • What does this reveal about God?
      • How must I change?

    2. Create Word Triggers

    • Phone wallpaper: Rotating Scripture images
    • Alarm reminders: 3x daily verse prompts
    • Car confession: Declare Scriptures during commutes

    3. Practice “Spiritual Dentistry”

    • Morning: Chew one verse (like holy gum)
    • Noon: Swallow its meaning (pray it in)
    • Night: Digest its application (journal insights)

    Prayer for Word Saturation

“Father, make Your word my addiction! Burn it into my heart like Jeremiah (Jeremiah 20:9). Let it dwell in me so richly that my conversations heal, my prayers pierce darkness, and my life radiates Christ, in Jesus’ name!”

    Action Steps

    1. Start a “Verse Wallet”: Write 7 power verses on cards—carry one daily
    2. Digital Detox: For every 30 mins on social media, spend 10 mins on Scripture
    3. Accountability Challenge: Partner with someone to recite 1 memorized verse daily

    Conclusion: The Walking Bible

Daddy Adeboye’s life proves: Scripture memory isn’t for scholars—it’s survival gear for spiritual warriors.

“Your Bible app is useful, but your heart storage is un-hackable. Store enough Word there, and you’ll never run on empty.”

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 13 AUGUST 2025 TODAY MESSAGE

I will continue this series by discussing one more reason it Is very important to get refilled with the anointing.

Sometimes, the reason you need to get refilled is not that you are exhausted or the anointing has been depleted after a period of intense spiritual activity but that your flesh rose above your spirit for a moment. When you are angry, for instance, you may not hear God speak because your flesh has risen above your spirit.

In such a period, you can cause some harm, as Elisha did in 2 Kings 2:23-24. Therefore, if you have been well-trained by God, the anointing will likely be dormant for that season to avoid causing a problem that you will later regret.

In 2 Kings 3:11-16, some kings came to meet Elisha, and he got angry with one of them.

Afterwards, when he needed to prophesy, he had to call a minstrel to play so there could be a refilling. Before long, the man of God could say, “Thus saith the Lord” again. I have observed that whenever the flesh rises above the spirit, there will be a need to retreat into an atmosphere of worship. In that atmosphere, as the Lord descends on you, He will refill you again.

Another major route through which the flesh rises above the spirit in many ministers is in the area of overconfidence. Despite Jesus’ warning that he would deny Him, Peter felt so confident in himself that instead of praying for spiritual strength to avoid that, he told Jesus that he could never do such a thing, and he eventually denied Him (Matthew 26:69-75).

Whenever you start feeling overly confident in your abilities and attributing what you have achieved to your hard work and sacrifices, the enemy is setting you up for a great fall, and you need to retreat and retrace your steps.

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18

Beloved, whenever your flesh rises above your spirit, run to God and ask for mercy, and He will graciously restore you. After Jesus’ resurrection, He went to Peter’s old place of work to refill him. He prepared a meal, fed him, and recommissioned him into the ministry (John 21:1-17). When your flesh rises above your spirit, go on a retreat and receive a fresh infilling of the anointing so that you can overcome the weaknesses of the flesh and fulfil God’s purpose for your life.

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

    Jeremiah 31-32

HYMN 34: YIELD NOT TO TEMPTATION

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 13 AUGUST 2025 COMMENTARY

    MEMORISE: Galatians 5:16

“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”
This verse presents the divine antidote to fleshly dominance—continuous Spirit-infused living that overrides carnal impulses.

    BIBLE READING: Galatians 5:13-25

    Paul’s contrast reveals:

    • v.19-21Flesh works (anger, pride, strife)
    • v.22-23Spirit fruits (love, peace, meekness)
    • v.25: The solution—live and walk in the Spirit

When the Flesh Overpowers the Spirit

Daddy Adeboye’s teaching exposes three dangerous moments requiring urgent refilling:

    1. Anger’s Blackout (2 Kings 3:11-16)

    • Elisha’s Case:
      • Flesh took over: Angry at Jehoram (v.13)
      • Anointing paused: Needed minstrel’s worship to reactivate (v.15)
    • Modern Parallel:
      • Pastoral rage silences God’s voice
      • Solution: Worship until the Spirit resurfaces

    2. Pride’s Deception (Matthew 26:33-35)

    • Peter’s Fall:
      • Overconfidence: “I’ll never deny You!”
      • Result: Threefold denial (John 18:17-27)
    • Warning Sign:
      • Taking credit for miracles (“My preaching healed them”)

    3. The Flesh-Spirit See-Saw

    Flesh AscendantSpirit Ascendant
Anger controls you (Proverbs 29:11)Self-control flourishes (Galatians 5:23)
Pride in achievements (Daniel 4:30)Humility in service (John 3:30)
    Ministerial burnoutSustainable anointing

    How to Regain Spiritual Ascendancy

    1. Immediate Damage Control

    • When you fail:
      1. Repent quickly (1 John 1:9)
      2. Fast 1 meal to reset spiritually
      3. Listen to worship (like Elisha’s minstrel)

    2. Cultivate Flesh-Alarms

    • Daily Check:
      • “Am I feeling irritable today?” → Extra prayer
      • “Did I just boast?” → Psalm 75:6 confession

    3. Adopt Jesus’ Restoration Model (John 21:15-17)

    • Peter’s Refill:
      • Location: Back to fishing boats (humility ground zero)
      • Process: Threefold love confession cancels threefold denial
      • Result: Pentecostal power (Acts 2:14)

    Prayer for Flesh Crucifixion

*”Father, electrocute my fleshly nature! Where I’ve operated in anger or pride, flood me with fresh oil. Make me allergic to self-sufficiency and addicted to Your presence, until only Christ is seen in me (Galatians 2:20), in Jesus’ name!”*

    Action Steps

    1. Create a “Flesh-Fast” List:
      • Identify 3 flesh triggers (e.g., criticism, success)
      • For each: Memorize 1 Scripture weapon (e.g., James 1:20 for anger)
    2. Implement the “3-3-3 Rule”:
      • When flesh rises:
        • 3 minutes of tongues
        • 3 verses of Psalm 51
        • 3 kneelings in surrender
    3. Monthly Humility Exercise:
      • Serve anonymously (e.g., clean church toilets)
      • Give credit to others publicly (“Sister A prayed for this miracle”)

    Conclusion: Stay Spiritually Dominant

Daddy Adeboye’s warning is clear: Unchecked flesh doesn’t just embarrass—it disqualifies. But those who:

    • Routinely refill
    • Radically repent
    • Relentlessly rely on the Spirit

…will reign like Elisha post-mistake—with double portion power!

“Your worst flesh moment can become your greatest anointing portal—if you let God refill you there.”

    MEMORISE:

And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
    Mark 6:31

    READ: Luke 9:1-10

1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.
4 And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.
5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.

6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.
    7 Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead;
8 And of some, that Elias had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again.
9 And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.
10 And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 12 AUGUST 2025 TODAY MESSAGE

Yesterday, I started a discussion about the importance of getting refilled with the anointing after moments of intense spiritual exercise. Another time you need to get a refill is when you are exhausted. In 1 Kings 19:5-8, when Elijah was tired, having been on the run from Jezebel, he told God to kill him. God said,

“No, I don’t bury my wounded; I feed them. When they are weary, I refill them.” He gave him food to eat, and Elijah ate and fell asleep again. Interestingly, the man who said ‘kill me’ didn’t say ‘I’m not eating.’ God woke him the second time and gave him a second ration.

Clearly, what he needed was rest and food to continue the journey. After eating, Elijah went in the strength of that food for forty days and nights. When you refill, you have the capacity and strength to go farther in God.

In today’s Bible reading, after the disciples returned from the missionary journey that Jesus sent them on, they gave Him great news about all the things the anointing did. Then, Jesus took them aside to a private place so they could rest. When virtue leaves a fellow, it has an impact on the body; if that fellow does not rest, he or she may become too weak to do more. Jesus knew this, so after performing many miracles, He would retreat to solitary places to refill, as I mentioned yesterday. He could consistently do great works because He always took time out to refill. He said that His followers would do greater works than He did (John 14:12), and this means they must also refill constantly as He did.

If you load a battery into a torch light and use it for one hour, you should allow it to rest for another hour so that it will last much longer, rather than using it continuously. Similarly, if you always take out time to rest appropriately, you will be able to do much more for God.

Beloved, do not think you are indispensable such that you keep using your spiritual battery even when you know that you are exhausted.

You might discover the hard way, like Elijah, that there are others who can easily take your place (I Kings 19:15-16). Find those people now and train them so that they can join you in doing some of the work. Don’t always wait until you are exhausted to get refilled, and if you are already exhausted, take a retreat now to get refilled.

OPEN HEAVEN 12 AUGUST KEY POINT

Ensure that you rest regularly so you can always do more.

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

    Jeremiah 28-30

HYMN 19: ROCK OF AGES CLEFT FOR ME

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 12 AUGUST 2025 COMMENTARY

    MEMORISE: Mark 6:31

“And He said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.”
This verse reveals divine wisdom for sustainable ministry—Jesus prioritized rest and refilling for Himself and His disciples.

    BIBLE READING: Luke 9:1-10

This passage shows two sides of spiritual labor:

    1. v.1-6Power outflow (disciples healing and preaching)
    2. v.10Essential withdrawal (Jesus taking them aside to rest)

    The Necessity of Spiritual Refills

Daddy Adeboye’s teaching highlights three critical truths about exhaustion and renewal:

    1. Elijah’s Breakdown and Recovery (1 Kings 19:5-8)

    • Crisis Point: “Kill me” (v.4) → Divine Response: “Eat and rest” (v.5-7)
    • Result: One meal fueled 40 days of supernatural endurance
    • Key LessonPhysical replenishment enables spiritual resilience

    2. Jesus’ Ministry Rhythm (Luke 5:16, Mark 6:31)

    • Pattern:
      • Public miracles → Private retreats
      • Disciples sent out → Disciples called back
    • Modern Parallel:
      • Preaching Sunday → Rest Monday
      • Crusade week → Post-crusade fast

    3. The Battery Principle

    • Torchlight Example:
      • Continuous use = Short lifespan
      • Cycled use = Long-term effectiveness
    • Spiritual Application:
      • 50% labor + 50% refill = Sustainable anointing

    How to Practice Divine Refilling

    1. Recognize Your Depletion Signals

    • Spiritual: Prayer feels dry, Scripture seems dull
    • Emotional: Short temper, discouragement
    • Physical: Chronic fatigue, illness proneness

    2. Implement Jesus’ Retreat Model

    • Daily: 30 minutes of silent worship (Psalm 131:2)
    • Weekly: Half-day digital detox (no phone, no ministry)
    • Seasonal: 3-day prayer retreat after major events

    3. Develop Your “Elishas” (2 Kings 2:9)

    • Identify 2-3 potential successors
    • Train them through:
      • Prayer walks
      • Bible study mentorship
      • Gradual ministry delegation

    Prayer for Sustainable Anointing

“Father, break my messiah complex! Teach me to work like Elijah on Carmel but rest like Elijah under the broom tree. Make my life a cycle of fruitful labor and forced rest, that I may finish strong like Paul (2 Timothy 4:7), in Jesus’ name!”

    Action Steps

    1. Schedule “No Ministry” Days: Block 1 day monthly for zero spiritual labor
    2. Create a Refill Playlist: Curate worship songs only for your personal renewal
    3. Practice “Sabbath Sleep”: Every Sunday afternoon, take a 2-hour nap as holy habit

    Conclusion: The Long-Distance Anointing

Daddy Adeboye’s wisdom echoes Scripture: God’s marathon runners aren’t judged by their speed but by their staying power.

    TOPIC: ALWAYS REFILL I

    MEMORISE

Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
    Mark 14:38

    READ: 1 Kings 19:1-4

1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.
2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.
3 And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.
4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

RCCG OPEN HEAVEN 11 AUGUST 2025 TODAY MESSAGE

In today’s Bible reading, after Elijah had called down fire on Mount Carmel, lots of virtue had gone out of him, and he needed to refill. He had just won a victory, and a revival had started, but he got down from the mountain to discover that Jezebel was as unrepentant as before. However, because the anointing upon Him was now depleted, he couldn’t stand to face her, so he fled.

Sometimes, people do mighty things with the anointing, thinking that is all, but not long after they are done, they discover that more things that need the anointing are waiting. A fellow can raise the dead in church, and people will rejoice; however, when that fellow gets home, there may be another problem waiting to be solved with the anointing. This is why it is important to recharge your spiritual batteries as soon as possible every time you use the anointing.

Many pastors host programmes, and when hosting the programmes, they fast and pray.

However, the moment the programme is over, they begin to feast and do not allow God to refill them with His anointing. By the following Sunday, people discover that it is not the same fellow who ministered the previous Sunday that is ministering because the anointing had been depleted and had not been refilled.

Fasting and all other ways to become filled with the anointing are not to end when programmes end; they are to be a lifestyle.

After periods of high spiritual activity where a lot of the anointing is used up, it is important to be refilled to at least the level that you were before, if not even higher.

Beloved, you must remain vigilant and sensitive at all times because you have an enemy who never takes a break. He always goes around like a roaring lion, seeking whom to devour (1 Peter 5:8). Have you just had a great victory? It is not time to let your guard down; it is time to return to the secret place to recharge and refill. It is time to guard your heart with all diligence so you can remain fit and relevant for God’s next agenda. The Bible recorded many instances where Jesus retreated to refill. For example, after a major ministration in Mark 1:34, the next verse says that He retreated into a solitary place to pray.

He’s our perfect model, and we must do the same to remain relevant in God’s kingdom.

OPEN HEAVEN 11 AUGUST KEY POINT

After every victory, retreat into God’s presence for a refill.

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

    Jeremiah 25-27

HYMN 8: I Need Thee Every Hour

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL 11 AUGUST 2025 COMMENTARY

    MEMORISE: Mark 14:38

“Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.”
This verse underscores post-victory vulnerability—the critical need for spiritual vigilance after great anointing outflows.

    BIBLE READING: 1 Kings 19:1-4

    Elijah’s post-Carmel collapse reveals:

    • v.2: Jezebel’s threat exploited his drained state
    • v.3: He fled instead of standing firm
    • v.4: He prayed for death—a radical contrast to his fire-calling faith

    The Anointing Refill Principle

Daddy Adeboye’s teaching exposes three vital truths about spiritual recharge:

    1. The Elijah Syndrome

    • Carmel High → Jezebel Low
      • Cause: Used all his anointing without immediate refill
      • LessonNo reservoir = No resilience (Proverbs 24:10)

    2. Jesus’ Model (Mark 1:35-37)

    • After healing multitudes (v.34) → Withdrew to pray (v.35)
    • Divine RhythmGive out → Take in → Give out again

    3. Modern Ministry Pitfalls

    • Programme Mentality:
      • Fasting for events but feasting after
      • Result: Empty pulpits on regular Sundays

    How to Maintain Overflow

    1. Schedule Spiritual IV Drips

    • After every outflow:
      • 24-hour prayer retreat (like Jesus)
      • Scripture immersion (Jeremiah 15:16)

    2. Recognize Drain Symptoms

    • Emotional: Irritability (like Moses in Numbers 20:10)
    • Spiritual: Formulaic prayers (no fresh unction)
    • Physical: Exhaustion masking as “sacrifice”

    3. Build Anointing Reserves

    • Daily Habits:
      • Tongues (1 Corinthians 14:18)
      • Worship (Psalm 92:1-2)
      • Silence (Psalm 46:10)

    Prayer for Sustained Anointing

“Father, make me addicted to Your presence! After every spiritual assignment, drag me back to the secret place. Let my ‘Carmels’ never end in collapse, but in greater refills, until I’m unstoppably anointed for life, in Jesus’ name!”

    Action Steps

    1. Post-Ministry Protocol: After next sermon/healing, fast 1 meal to recharge
    2. Anointing Journal: Record depletion signs and refill methods that work for you
    3. Accountability Partner: Have someone check your spiritual vitality weekly

    Conclusion: The Refilled Life

Daddy Adeboye’s warning is clear: Anointing without maintenance leads to ministry malpractice.

“Your last miracle is only as powerful as your next prayer session. Stay plugged in!”
